Eskild Jensen (28 April 1925 – 1 April 2013) is a Norwegian civil servant and politician for the Labour Party.
He was born in Vestre Aker as a son of executive Eskild Jensen Sr. (1876–1955) and teacher Elizabeth Kobro (1889–1985). In 1957 he married civil servant Inger Aarskog. He enrolled at Oslo Commerce School, but as the occupation of Norway by Nazi Germany commenced in the same year, Jensen soon prioritized to work in the Norwegian resistance movement. He distributed an illegal newspaper compiled from BBC radio reports; listening to these was also illegal. He was caught by Gestapo in 1942, tortured, and imprisoned in the concentration camps Grini and from May 1943 to 1945 Sachsenhausen.After the war Jensen graduated in economics from the University of Oslo. In 1961 he was hired in the Ministry of Finance. He worked for the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation from 1962 to 1967 and 1969 to 1974. In 1974 he was appointed deputy under-secretary of state in the Ministry of Transport and Communications before serving as State Secretary in the Office of the Prime Minister from 1976 to 1980, as part of the Nordli's Cabinet. From 1980 to 1992 he served as director of the Norwegian Directorate of Public Roads.

Rafael Corkidi Acriche (20 May 1930 – 18 September 2013) was a Mexican cinematographer, film director and screenwriter. He began his career as a cinematographer and contributed to the visual style and cinematography in three films directed by Alejandro Jodorowsky in Mexico, Fando y Lis, El Topo, and The Holy Mountain. Eventually he became a director in his own right, including films such as Angels and Cherubs, Auandar Anapu, Pafnucio Santo and Deseos, his last film before he decided to pioneer video as a mean of expression.
In 2013, he was awarded the Ariel de Oro, Mexico's top film prize, for his contributions to the Mexican film industry.

Seymon Deutsch (May 18, 1935 – June 12, 2013) was an American bridge player. He started playing bridge as a student at the Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, alongside Bobby Wolff, but afterwards focused on a career in business. He returned to competitive bridge in 1980s, when he started gaining successes, which include titles in Grand National Teams (1986), the Spingold Knockout Teams (1991) and three Vanderbilt Knockout Teams (1994, 1996 and 2006). He won two world titles: the 1988 World Team Olympiad in Venice and 1994 Rosenblum Cup. Deutsch was 2007 recipient of Sidney H. Lazard Jr. Sportsmanship Award. ACBL Hall of Fame player Zia Mahmood told The New York Times at the time, "There are a few people about whom never a bad word is said ... Seymon is one of them".Deutsch was born and spent most of his life in Laredo, Texas. He ran a fashion store chain, Joe Brand, as well as a cattle ranch with large operation in South Texas. He was survived by his wife Linda née Brand and their four children.

Preben Hempel Munthe (15 October 1922 – 3 January 2013) was a Norwegian economist.
He was born in Aker, the son of librarian Wilhelm Munthe (1883–1965) and his wife Jenny Hempel (1882–1975). Gerhard Munthe was his elder brother. The younger Munthe finished his secondary education in 1941, and graduated from the University of Oslo with the cand.oecon. degree five years later. He was employed as a research fellow at the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration in the following year, and was promoted to docent in 1956. He took his doctorate in 1961, and was a professor at the University of Oslo from 1961 to 1992. Parallel to this he served as the State Conciliator of Norway from 1965 to 1974. His published works include Freedom of Entry into Industry and Trade (1959), Produsentenes vertikale markedspolitikk som pristeoretisk problem (1960), Horisontale karteller (1961), Sirkulasjon, inntekt og økonomisk vekst (1976, third ed. 1983), Penger, kreditt og valuta (1978, second ed. 1982) and Markedsøkonomi (1979, third ed. 1982).Munthe was a consultant for the Norwegian Nobel Committee from 1959 to 1983, and served on the editorial board of Familieboka (fourth edition, 1973–1975) and Store norske leksikon (first edition 1978–1981; second edition 1985–1989; third edition 1995–1999). He was chairman of Norsk Hydro from 1974 to 1977, Freia from 1978 to 1990, Aschehoug Forlag from 1979 to 1992 and Fritt Ord from 1981 to 2000. He was a board member of IBM in Norway, Nora Industrier and Bergen Bank, and edited Bergen Bank's quarterly publication from 1967 to 1982. He was decorated as a Commander of the Royal Norwegian Order of St. Olav in 1971, and was chancellor for the order from 1985 to 2000. In 1974 he became a member of the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters. Munthe has been honoured with two Festschriften, published in 1982 and 2000.He was married to architect Siri Serck-Hanssen, and resided in Oslo. Munthe died in January 2013 at the age of 90.

Dag Schjelderup-Ebbe (10 December 1926 – 1 February 2013) was a Norwegian musicologist, composer, music critic and biographer. He was a lecturer at the University of Oslo for thirty years, from 1973 with the title of professor. His research mainly centered on the Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg.

Nancy Lee Bass (1917–2013) was an American philanthropist. She was known as the "First Lady of Fort Worth, Texas."

Yvonne Helen "Patsy" Swayze (née Karnes; February 7, 1927 – September 16, 2013) was an American film choreographer, dancer, and dance instructor, and the mother of actors Patrick Swayze and Don Swayze. Her credits include choreography for Urban Cowboy, Liar's Moon and Hope Floats.

Jimmy Fontana (13 November 1934 – 11 September 2013) was an Italian actor, composer and singer-songwriter. Two of his most famous songs are "Che sarà", performed also by José Feliciano with Ricchi e Poveri, and "Il Mondo".

Halvor Bernt Stein Grieg Halvorsen (19 October 1909 – 11 November 2013) was a Norwegian theatre actor.
Stein was born in Kristiania as the son of composer Johan Halvorsen (1864–1935) and Annie Grieg (1873–1957). He was married to Odd Frogg's widow Elizabeth Inga Else Margrethe Thaulow (1903–1968) from 1940 until 1971, then after her death to Vibeke Laura Mowinckel Falk. Stein Grieg Halvorsen was employed at Nationaltheatret from 1928 to 1935, Den Nationale Scene from 1935 to 1936, and again Nationaltheatret from 1936 to 1939 and from 1945 to his retirement in 1997.His son, Stein Johan Grieg Halvorsen, is half of the comedy duo Erlend & SteinJo, who rose to fame in the 1990s.
Halvorsen died of natural causes on 11 November 2013, three weeks after his 104th birthday.
