Carlos_Cañas

Carlos Cañas (September 3, 1924 – April 14, 2013) was a Salvadoran painter who studied art and theory at the School of Arts of El Salvador. In 1950, he received a scholarship to study art, history, aesthetics, and literature in Madrid at the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando.
Cañas participated at the First Latin American Biennial, Spain (1951); in the Fourth Biennial of the Engraving, Japan (1964); in the Sutton Gallery, USA (1979), amongst other important exhibitions at the worldwide level.
In 2012, he received the national prize of culture Premio Nacional de Cultura of El Salvador.

Yiye_Ávila

José Joaquín Ávila Portalatín (September 11, 1925 – June 28, 2013), better known as Yiye Ávila, was a Puerto Rican Pentecostal Evangelist and writer of Sephardic origins. His preaching and messages were characterized in proclaiming that the coming of Christ is imminent. He is considered one of the most influential Protestant preachers of the Spanish language. He was also the second runner-up for Mr. North America in 1953.

A long-standing leader of the Mexican Communist Party and the Unified Socialist Party of Mexico (PSUM), Martínez promoted political self-criticism, refused to support regional guerrilla movements, condemned the Soviet invasion of Czechoslovakia and promoted the unification of the political left.

Léon Aimé Taverde, F.M.C (17 July 1923 – 8 August 2013), was a French prelate of the Catholic Church. He was born in Avanne, France, and was ordained a priest on 25 September 1955. He was appointed bishop to the Diocese of Langres on 14 October 1981 and was ordained bishop on 29 November 1981. He retired on 16 December 1999 as bishop of the Langres Diocese.

Ordained to the priesthood in 1966, Pollien was appointed titular bishop of Pulceriopolis and auxiliary bishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Paris, France and retired in 2012.

Joseph Théophile Louis Marie Madec was born in Ploërmel, France, and ordained a priest on April 5, 1947. Madec was appointed bishop of the Diocese of Fréjus-Toulon on February 8, 1983, and consecrated on April 10, 1983. Madec was the bishop of Diocese of Fréjus-Toulon until his retirement on May 16, 2000.

Eugène Georges Joseph Lecrosnier (20 April 1923 − 15 October 2013) was a French Prelate of the Catholic Church.
Lecrosnier was born in Maupertuis, France, and was ordained a priest on 20 December 1947. He was appointed auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Chambéry, as well as titular bishop of San Leone, on 21 April 1969 and ordained bishop on 21 June 1969. Lecrosnier was appointed to the Diocese of Belfort-Montbéliard on 5 November 1979 and would remain as bishop until his retirement on 1 March 2000.

Bellino Giusto Ghirard (22 May 1935 − 26 July 2013) was a French Roman Catholic bishop.
Ordained to the priesthood in 1962, Ghirard was appointed coadjutor bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Rodez, France, in 1990 and succeeded to the diocese in 1991 retiring in 2011.
