Hanne Heuch (born 1 June 1954) is a Norwegian ceramist.
She was born in Oslo, and is the great-granddaughter of bishop Johan Christian Heuch. She took her education at the Norwegian National Academy of Crafts and Design (now a part of the Bergen National Academy of the Arts) and Norwegian National Academy of Craft and Art Industry. She was a professor at the Academy of Crafts and Design from 1988 to 1994, and is among Norway's foremost ceramists.
Gunnar Simenstad (May 14, 1914 – February 2, 1986) was a Norwegian actor. In addition to his stage career, he appeared in several films.
Inger Birgitte "Gitte" Dæhlin (21 June 1956 − 2 December 2012) was a Norwegian sculptor, known for her sculptures from textile material.
She was born in Oslo as a daughter of Erik Oddvar and Lisbet Dæhlin. She studied at the Bournemouth and Poole College of Art from 1973 to 1974 and then under Morten Krogh and Bård Breivik at Vestlandets kunstakademi from 1974 to 1977, before residing two years in Mexico. Her works are owned by, among others, the National Gallery of Norway, Arts Council Norway and the Norwegian Museum of Decorative Arts and Design.

Ada Madssen (9 February 1917 – 22 September 2009) was a Norwegian sculptor.
She was born in Kristiania. She studied under Wilhelm Rasmussen and Axel Revold at the Norwegian National Academy of Fine Arts from 1938 to 1940. The National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design owns three of her works, and she is also known for statues of Queen Maud near the Royal Palace, Oslo (erected 1959) and Camilla Collett at Eidsvoll (erected 1977). In 2007 she was decorated as a Knight First Class of the Royal Norwegian Order of St. Olav.
Gisken Armand Lillo-Stenberg (born 26 November 1962) is a Norwegian actress. She is the daughter of actor Eilif Armand, and sister of Merete Armand and Frøydis Armand, both actresses. She debuted on stage at the age of fourteen, at Den Nationale Scene, and has been working at Nationaltheatret since 1988. There she has performed in plays such as Henrik Ibsen's A Doll's House and Anton Chekhov's Three Sisters. She has also played in several movies, such as Insomnia (1997) and Evas Øye (1999), as well as roles in television, in series like Fox Grønland (2001) and Kodenavn Hunter (2007).Armand is married to Ole Lillo-Stenberg, brother of musician Lars Lillo-Stenberg, and the couple have two children.
Børge Ousland (born 31 May 1962) is a Norwegian polar explorer. He was the first person to cross Antarctica solo.He started his career as a Norwegian Navy Special Forces Officer with Marinejegerkommandoen, and he also spent several years working as a deep sea diver for the oil industry in the North Sea.
On 4 May 1990 Ousland and Erling Kagge became the first explorers ever to reach the North Pole unsupported, after a 58-day ski trek from Ellesmere Island in Canada, a distance of 800 km.In 1994, he made the first solo and unsupported journey to the North Pole from Arctic Cape in Russia.Between 15 November 1996 and 17 January 1997, he became the first in the world to do an unsupported solo crossing of the Antarctic: 1,864 miles from the edge of the Ronne Ice Shelf to the edge of the Ross Ice Shelf. The ski journey was made with kite assistance, and also holds the record for the fastest unsupported journey to the South Pole, taking just 34 days.On 22 January 2006, together with Mike Horn he began a journey to the North Pole in full Arctic night, successfully concluded on 23 March.In September 2010, Ousland's team aboard the trimaran sailboat The Northern Passage completed the circumnavigation of the North Pole. A Russian team aboard the Peter I achieved the same feat in that season. These were the first recorded instances of the circumnavigation of the North Pole without an icebreaker.
In December 2011 he traversed Antarctica to the South Pole for the centennial celebration of the first expedition to reach the Pole.
Ousland married at the North Pole in 2012 having been flown in by helicopter with "20 or 30 people".
Reidar Djupedal (March 22, 1921 – July 29, 1989) was a professor of North Germanic languages and literature at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.
Djupedal was born in Oslo. After graduating from the English program at Firda Upper Secondary School in Sandane in 1941, Djupedal studied at the University of Oslo until the fall of 1943. He was arrested on November 30 that year and sent to the Buchenwald concentration camp as one of the approximately 650 male students at the University of Oslo interned in German prison camps during the Second World War II from December 1943 to liberation in May 1945 and known as the "German students" (Norwegian: Tysklandsstudentene). He returned home in the spring of 1945 and resumed his studies at the University of Oslo, and in 1950 he received a degree in historical linguistics with a dissertation titled Noko om Ivar Aasen i åra 1840–60 (Ivar Aasen in the Years 1840–1860).In 1950 and 1951 he worked on the Norsk Ordbok (Norwegian Dictionary). From 1951 to 1956 he taught Norwegian at the University of Copenhagen and in Aarhus, and from 1962 to 1969 he taught Nordic linguistics at the University of Bergen. In 1969 he became a professor at the Norwegian College of General Sciences, remaining in this position until he retired in 1988.
Djupedal is especially known for his work on Ivar Aasen; among other things, he published Aasen's letters and diaries in three volumes, and together with Johannes Gjerdåker he also published Aasen's Norske ordsprog (Norwegian Proverbs) and wrote a long afterword for the work. Djupedal's Aasen collection is kept at the Ivar Aasen Documentation Center (Norwegian: Aasentunet) in Ørsta.Djupedal also wrote extensively about Faroese, Aasmund Olavsson Vinje, the literary magazine Dølen, and Norwegian folk tales and poetry. He also worked to give Olea Crøger the attention he thought she deserved in efforts to collect Norwegian folk tales.

Lise Skjåk Bræk (born Marie Elisabeth Bræk, 7 November 1941) is a Norwegian textile artist, known for her works within ceremonial apparel, uniforms, costumes, rugs, and other textiles. She is a resident of Trondheim.
She is the daughter of former minister of industry in Norway, Ola Skjåk Bræk, and Ingeborg Bræk, a noted activist for humanitarian causes.
Katja Maria Riosianu Medbøe (3 December 1945 – c. 13 November 1996) was a Norwegian actress.
She graduated from the Norwegian National Academy of Theatre in 1968, and acted both at Den Nationale Scene and at the National Theatre. Medbøe was best known for her role in the Hustruer-trilogy (Wives), along with Frøydis Armand and Anne Marie Ottersen. She also released records with poetry readings set to music.In December 1996, Medbøe's sister, Wenche Medbøe, announced that Katja had been missing for three weeks, and made a public appeal for tips. As a result of a head injury she had experienced pain from the stage lighting. On 12 November she had left the hospital and not been seen since. On 3 May 1997, she was found dead in Nordmarka – a forest area north of Oslo. Medbøe had two children. The cause of death was, according to her daughter, Eline Medbøe, suicide.
