Gustav_Heiberg_Simonsen

Gustav Heiberg Simonsen (4 April 1935 – 7 January 2018) was a Norwegian lawyer and politician for the Conservative Party.
He was born in Oslo as a son of barrister Jon Simonsen (1901–1976) and housewife Marie Louise Heiberg (1910–2007). He was the father of Marie Simonsen.He served as a deputy representative to the Parliament of Norway from Oslo during the term 1985–1989. In early October 1985 he met regularly, covering for Anders C. Sjaastad. In total he met during 6 days of parliamentary session. He was a member of Oslo city council from 1999 to 2007 and deputy chair of Oslo Conservative Party from 2004 to 2006. He died on 7 January 2018 in Oslo, at the age of 82.

Pierre_Conner

Pierre Euclide Conner (27 June 1932, Houston, Texas – 3 February 2018, New Orleans, Louisiana) was an American mathematician, who worked on algebraic topology and differential topology (especially cobordism theory).
In 1955 Conner received his Ph.D from Princeton University under Donald Spencer with thesis The Green's and Neumann's Problems for Differential Forms on Riemannian Manifolds. He was a post-doctoral fellow from 1955 to 1957 (and again in 1961–1962) at the Institute for Advanced Study. He was in the 1960s a professor at the University of Virginia, where he collaborated with his colleague Edwin E. Floyd, and then in the 1970s a professor at Louisiana State University.
In 2012 he became a fellow of the American Mathematical Society.

Tor_Erling_Staff

Tor Erling Staff (22 February 1933 – 22 July 2018) was a Norwegian criminal defense lawyer. He was particularly known for taking controversial cases.
Staff was born in Oslo. As a student he chaired the Norwegian Students' Society in Oslo in the spring of 1956, graduating with the cand.jur. degree in 1958. He started working for barrister Olaf Trampe Kindt and for stipendiary magistrate Christian Bernt Apenes. He continued his studies in the United States. From 1967 he worked as a lawyer in Oslo and at the Supreme Court.

Pierre_Pican

Pierre Auguste Gratien Pican S.D.B. (27 February 1935 – 23 July 2018) was a French prelate of the Catholic Church who served as Bishop of Bayeux from 1988 to 2010. In 2001, he was given a three-month suspended sentence for failing to notify civil authorities of charges of sexual abuse of a minor made against one of his priests, the first criminal conviction of a French bishop since the Revolution.

Nicole_Fontaine

Nicole Fontaine (16 January 1942 – 17 May 2018) was a French politician who served as Member of the European Parliament for the Île-de-France from 1984 until 2002 and from 2004 until 2009. She was a member of the Union for a Popular Movement, part of the European People's Party. Fontaine was the President of the European Parliament from 1999 to 2001, and was then replaced by Pat Cox, from the European Liberal, Democrat and Reform Party, in accordance with an agreement between the two groups at the start of the term.
