Jean_Porter

Bennie Jean Porter (December 8, 1922 – January 13, 2018) was an American film and television actress. She was notable for her roles in The Youngest Profession (1943), Bathing Beauty (1944), Abbott and Costello in Hollywood (1945), Till the End of Time (1946), Cry Danger (1951), and The Left Hand of God (1955).
Porter was married to Edward Dmytryk, who was one of the Hollywood Ten, the most prominent blacklisted group in the film industry during the McCarthy era.

Ricardo Antonio Pontvianne (20 October 1943 – 13 August 2018) was a Mexican basketball player who competed in the 1964 Summer Olympics and in the 1968 Summer Olympics. He was born in Tampico, Tamaulipas.

Merete_Skavlan

Merete Skavlan (25 July 1920 – 2 November 2018) was a Norwegian actress, theater instructor and director.
She was born in Kristiania as a daughter of newspaper editor and theatre director Einar Skavlan and music educator Margrethe Bartholdy. She was a granddaughter of literary historian Olaf Skavlan.She was involved in resistance work during World War II, and joined the unofficial "Stanislavskij Group" in 1943. The members of this group founded Studioteatret, and she made her debut at Studioteatret's first performance in 1945, in a translation of Wilder's play The Long Christmas Dinner. She continued to play for Studioteatret until 1950.Her acting career continued at Det Nye Teater, where she played from 1950 to 1952, at Folketeatret from 1952 to 1959, and at Oslo Nye Teater from 1959 to 1967. During the 1960s she also played for Fjernsynsteatret, with roles such as Angustias in an adaptation of García Lorca's The House of Bernarda Alba, and as Missis Smith in Ionesco's The Bald Soprano.She started working as a theatre instructor, and has participated on productions at Riksteatret, the National Theatre, Det Norske Teatret and Fjernsynsteatret. Her debut as producer was an adaptation for television of Baroness Emma Orczy's novel The Scarlet Pimpernel, for Fjernsynsteatret in 1968. Her debut as stage producer was an adaptation of Bill Naughton's play Spring and Port Wine, for Det Norske Teatret in 1969. She also lectured at the Norwegian National Academy of Theatre.From 1984 to 1990 she was employed at the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation as head of Radioteatret. She started the independent theatre group Intimteatret in 1991, together with Gerhard Knoop.Skavlan was also a board member of Dagbladet from 1960 to 1974, and subsequently sat on the supervisory council. She died in November 2018 at the age of 98.

Gonzalo Justo Facio Segreda (28 March 1918 – 24 January 2018) was a Costa Rican lawyer, politician, and diplomat.
Facio was born in San José on 28 March 1918 to Gonzalo Facio Ulloa and María Teresa Segreda Solera.He studied law at the University of Costa Rica and New York University. He served on the Founding Junta of the Second Republic and was a founding member of the National Liberation Party. Between 1953 and 1956, he was President of the Legislative Assembly of Costa Rica.Facio first became Costa Rican ambassador to the United States in 1956, and held the post for two years. He returned to the position in 1962, serving through 1966. He was named foreign minister in 1970, and was succeeded by Rafael Ángel Calderón Fournier in 1978. From 1990 to 1994, he was again ambassador to the United States. In 1998, he was appointed ambassador to Mexico, and stepped down in 2001.He was married three times. He had three children (Sandra, Alda and Rómulo) from his first wife, María Lilia Montejo Ortuño. From his second wife, Ana Franco Calzia, he had three more children (Ana Catalina, Giannina and Carla). From his third wife Julia Nubia Salmerón Mejía he had no offspring.Facio died at the age of 99 on 24 January 2018 in Escazu.

Per Engebret Stockfleth Enger (24 February 1929 – 19 November 2018) was a Norwegian zoophysiologist.
He was born in Oslo as a son of painter Erling Enger (1899–1990) and office clerk Aud Stockfleth (1899–1987). He took the dr.philos. degree in 1963 on the thesis Single unit activity in the fish auditory system. He was hired at the University of Oslo in 1956, and served as a professor of zoophysiology from 1975 to 1994. He is a fellow of the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters.

Rolf_Yngvar_Berg

Rolf Yngvar Berg (2 December 1925 – 25 August 2018) was a Norwegian botanist.
He was born in Oslo. He took the dr.philos. degree 1962 on the work Studies in Liliaceae, tribe Parideae. He was a curator at the Botanical Museum of Oslo from 1956 to 1962, professor of botany at the University of California, Davis from 1962 to 1965 and at the University of Oslo from 1965 to 1994. He has been a corresponding fellow of the American Botanical Society from 2003, and a fellow of the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters. He died at the age of 92.

Klaus Hagerup (5 March 1946 – 20 December 2018) was a Norwegian author, translator, screenwriter, actor and director. He was also known for his role of Tom in the film The Chieftain (1984).

Fernando_Llort

Fernando Llort Choussy (7 April 1949 – 10 August 2018) was a Salvadoran artist, often dubbed "El Salvador's National Artist" by the Foundation for Self Sufficiency in Central America (now called EcoViva).Fernando Llort was a man of passion, spirituality, religion, community, and an idealist. At the beginning of Llort travels abroad, his intention was originally to study to become a priest. Llort was introduced to two seminaries, one in La Ceja a small town in Medellin, Colombia, another Toulouse, France in which he would not commit to as his passion for art took over.
He is known for teaching the citizens of the small town of La Palma, Chalatenango, how to make a living through art. His style is colorful and often childlike; it can be compared to that of Joan Miró and in some instances to that of Pablo Picasso.
