Frits_Went

Friedrich August Ferdinand Christian Went (June 18, 1863 – July 24, 1935) was a Dutch botanist.
Went was born in Amsterdam. He was professor of botany and director of the Botanical Garden at the University of Utrecht. His eldest son was the Dutch botanist Frits Warmolt Went, who in 1927 as a graduate student worked on plant hormones, specifically the role of auxin in phototropism.
He became member of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences in 1898.Went died, aged 72, in Wassenaar.

Otto_Lagerfeld

Otto Christian Ludwig Lagerfeld (20 September 1881 – 4 July 1967) was a German businessman, who in 1919 founded the German company Lagerfeld & Co, which imported evaporated milk.
He was the son of a wine merchant from Hamburg, Tönnies Johann Otto Lagerfeld (1845–1931) and his wife Maria Wilhelmine Franziska Lagerfeld (née Wiegels) (1848–1936). He was married to Theresia Feigl (1896–1922) in 1922; they had a daughter Theodora Dorothea "Thea" Lagerfeld (1922- circa 2007). His first wife died the same year of their marriage. In 1930 he remarried to Elisabeth Josefa Emilie Bahlmann (1897–1978), daughter of the Catholic Centre Party local politician Heinrich Maria Karl Bahlmann, and they were the parents of Martha Christiane "Christel" Lagerfeld (1931–2015) and of fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld (1933–2019).Otto Lagerfeld and his family belonged to the Old Catholic Church.
His family was mainly shielded from the deprivations of World War II due to his membership in the Nazi party and his business interests in Germany through the firm Glücksklee-Milch GmbH. Otto Lagerfeld had been in San Francisco during the 1906 earthquake.

Hans_Schmidt-Isserstedt

Hans Schmidt-Isserstedt (5 May 1900 – 28 May 1973) was a German conductor and composer. After studying at several music academies, he worked in German opera houses between 1923 and 1945, first as a répétiteur and then in increasingly senior conducting posts, ending as Generalmusikdirektor of the Deutsche Oper Berlin.
After the Second World War, Schmidt-Isserstedt was invited by the occupying British forces to form the Northwest German Radio Symphony Orchestra, of which he was musical director and chief conductor from 1945 to 1971. He was a frequent guest conductor for leading symphony orchestras around the world, and returned to opera from time to time, including appearances at Glyndebourne and Covent Garden as well as the Hamburg State Opera.
Schmidt-Isserstedt was known for his transparent orchestral textures, strict rhythmic precision, and rejection of superfluous gestures and mannerisms on the rostrum. His extensive recorded legacy features the Austro-German classics with which he was widely associated, but also includes works by Czech, English, French, Italian and Russian composers.

M. Rainer Lepsius (8 May 1928 – 2 October 2014) was a German sociologist. A particular interest was in the work of Max Weber: he was prominent among the co-compilers of the (eventually) 47 volume edition of the Complete Works of Weber.

Susana Palazuelos Rosenzweig (born c. 1935), is a Mexican well-known chef and wedding organizer. She is also a book writer, having written cook books such as "Mexico the Beautiful: Authentic Recipes from the Regions of Mexico" and "Mexican Favorites".
In 1977, Palazuelos opened a restaurant in her native Acapulco, named "Banquetes Susana Palazuelos". She is the owner and general director of the restaurant.During her career, Palazuelos, considered by some to be the creator of outdoor weddings in Mexico, has cooked for royalty, including the king of Malaysia and Queen Elizabeth II.Susana has a son, Eduardo Palazuelos, a chef from Mexico and the owner of the restaurants Zibu (Acapulco) and Mar del Zur (Monterrey).She is the aunt of famous actor Roberto Palazuelos, who considers her to be his real mother, as she raised him.
