Joaquín Cordero (Spanish pronunciation: [xoaˈkiŋ koɾˈðeɾo]; August 16, 1922 – February 19, 2013) was a Mexican actor of the cinema, theatre and telenovelas.

Charlotte Zolotow (born Charlotte Gertrude Shapiro; June 26, 1915 – November 19, 2013) was an American writer, poet, editor, and publisher of many books for children. She wrote about 70 picture book texts.The writers she edited include Paul Fleischman, Paul Zindel, Mary Rodgers, Robert Lipsyte, and Francesca Lia Block.

Miles Parker Givens (Richmond, Virginia, 9 June 1916 — 11 January 2013) was an American optical physicist, former acting director and professor emeritus at The Institute of Optics at the University of Rochester.
His work spanned several topics in physical optics, including holography and photogrammetry. He made important contributions to the development of optical data processing and synthetic holography.

Ralph William Braun (December 18, 1940 – February 8, 2013) was the founder and CEO of the Braun Corporation. He is also known as the "Father of the Mobility Movement" at BraunAbility.

Joe Dean (April 26, 1930 − November 17, 2013) is known as "Mr. String Music" and was the voice of Southeastern Conference basketball for most of the 1970-80s. In 2012, he was elected to the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame, as a contributor to the game.

Margaret Kampschaefer Butler (March 27, 1924 – March 8, 2013) was a mathematician who participated in creating and updating computer software. During the early 1950s, Butler contributed to the development of early computers. Butler was the first female fellow at the American Nuclear Society and director of the National Energy Software Center at Argonne. Butler held leadership positions within multiple scientific organizations and women's groups. She was the creator and director of the National Energy Software Center. Here, Butler operated an exchange for the editing of computer programs in regards to nuclear power and developed early principles for computer technology.

Bert Wilson (October 15, 1939 – June 6, 2013) was an American jazz clarinetist and saxophonist.

Ron Weaver (June 9, 1937 – May 11, 2013) was an American television producer and author. Weaver was born in Indiana. He was raised in Michigan and attended the Michigan State University. At a young age, he starred on several small-time television shows and radio stations. In the 1950s, he moved to New York and was taught by the actor Lee Strasberg. In New York, he was employed as a photographer and an actor. In 1983, he moved to Los Angeles and later worked for CBS as an associate producer in 1986, mainly working on the CBS soap, The Bold and the Beautiful. For his work, he was awarded three Emmys for Outstanding Drama Series. Weaver's first book is named Soul Mate, which was published in 2010. He is survived by his daughter, son and four grandchildren.

Charles Foley (September 6, 1930 – July 1, 2013) was the co-inventor of the game Twister, with Neil W. Rabens.

Melvin Rhyne (October 12, 1936 – March 5, 2013), was a jazz organist best known for his work with Wes Montgomery.
