Gustavo Couttolenc Cortés (6 December 1921 – 7 February 2015) was a Mexican writer and academic who specialized in the translation of Latin-language works into Spanish.
Born in Uruapan, Michoacán, Couttolenc completed his studies in Latin, philosophy and theology at the Conciliar Seminar of Mexico, where he would eventually serve as a professor for over fifty years, starting in 1948. A doctor in Letras Hispánicas at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), he was named a full member (académico de número) of the Mexican Academy of Language in 1998.Couttolenc became an honorary canon of the Mexico City Metropolitan Cathedral in 1986 and two years later, he was presented with the title of monsignor by the Holy See. He died at the age of ninety-four.

Fredrik Ludvig Fasting Torgersen (1 October 1934 – 18 June 2015) was a Norwegian man who was convicted of murder in 1958 in a much-debated case, and released from prison in 1974.Serving 16 years in prison before being released, he continuously claimed his innocence.In 2013 Bjørg Njaa, a daughter of a judge in the 1958 trial said that her father was prejudiced against Torgersen even before being assigned to the trial.In 2014 he was denied access to official recordings of then leader of the Norwegian Board of Forensic Medicine, Bjørnar Olaisen, answering to Criminal Cases Review Commission.Torgersen died on 18 June 2015, a week after his sixth call for a resumption of his case. At the time of his death, he was hospitalized with cancer.

André Glucksmann (French: [ɡlyksman]; 19 June 1937 – 10 November 2015) was a French philosopher, activist, and writer. He was a leading figure of the new philosophers. Glucksmann began his career as a Marxist, who went on to reject Marxism–Leninism and real socialism in the popular book La Cuisinière et le Mangeur d'Hommes (1975), and later became an anti-Communist and outspoken critic of the Soviet Union and post-Soviet Russian foreign policy. He was a strong supporter of human rights. In later years, he opposed the claim that Islamic terrorism is the product of the clash of civilizations between Islam and the Western world.

Jean-François Théodore (5 December 1946 – 18 May 2015) was a French businessman, President, Chairman and CEO of Euronext N.V., deputy CEO and Head of Strategy of NYSE Euronext Inc. for Euronext N.V and chairman of its Managing Board.

Johan Martin Ferner (né Johan Martin Jacobsen; 22 July 1927 – 24 January 2015) was a Norwegian sailor and Olympic medalist. He won a silver medal in the 6 metre class with the boat Elisabeth X at the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki, together with Finn Ferner (his brother), Erik Heiberg, Tor Arneberg and Carl Mortensen. He was married to Princess Astrid, the sister of King Harald V of Norway and Princess Ragnhild.

Géry-Jacques-Charles Leuliet (12 January 1910 – 1 January 2015) was a French prelate of the Roman Catholic Church and at the time of his death, was the oldest bishop of the Catholic Church, at 104 years of age.
Leuliet was born in France and was ordained to the priesthood on 8 July 1933 in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Arras. He was appointed Bishop of Amiens on February 14, 1963 and received his episcopal consecration on 9 May 1963. Leuliet retired as the bishop's dean in France on 15 January 1985. Upon the death of Nguyen Van Thien on 13 May 2012 he became the oldest living Roman Catholic bishop. He died 11 days before his 105th birthday on 1 January 2015.

André Jean René Lacrampe (17 December 1941 – 15 May 2015) was the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Besançon.He was born on 17 December 1941 in Agos-Vidalos, a commune in the Hautes-Pyrénées department in south-western France. He was ordained as a priest in 1967 for the Prado Institute, an Institute of Consecrated Life. On 16 October 1983 he was ordained the Titular Bishop of Legia and was appointed Auxiliary Bishop of Reims. From 1 October 1988 he was Prelate of Mission de France at Pontigny, France until he became Bishop of Ajaccio on 5 January 1995. He was appointed Archbishop of Besançon on 13 August 2003 and retired from that position on 25 April 2013.He was made an Officer of the Legion of Honour in 2009, and Chevalier dans l’Ordre des Palmes académiques in 2011. He died in May 2015.

Curtis Edwin Lee (October 28, 1939 – January 8, 2015) was an American singer and songwriter. He is known for his early 1960s hits "Pretty Little Angel Eyes" (US #7) and "Under the Moon of Love" (US #46), both of which were produced by Phil Spector.

Philippe Massoni (13 January 1936 – 14 February 2015) was a French prefect. He was the French co-prince's representative to Andorra from July 2002 to June 2007, replacing Frédéric de Saint-Sernin.
He had previously been chief of police for Paris.

Magali Noël Guiffray (27 June 1931 – 23 June 2015), better known as Magali Noël, was a French actress and singer.
