Egil Ragnar Monn-Iversen (14 April 1928 – 7 July 2017) was a Norwegian musician, one of the most influential modern composers in Norway. He has had many important roles in Norwegian music, film, opera, television, comedy and theater. For some time he had so much influence in Norwegian culture that he got the nickname The Godfather, even though he always considered himself a down-to-earth musician.
Monn-Iversen owned a film production company, a record label, and an agency for musical artists, he was the founder of the vocal group The Monn Keys, he was the CEO at the Chat Noir theatre, chairman at The Norwegian Opera and from the 1960s until his death in 2017 worked in NRK (Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation) and Det norske teatret (The Norwegian Theatre). He composed scores to over 100 Norwegian movies and TV series.
Monn-Iversen was married to the Norwegian actor and singer Sølvi Wang until her death in 2011.

Rafael Ángel "Felo" García Picado (30 July 1928 – 2 December 2023) was a Costa Rican painter, architect, and footballer.
García was one of Costa Rica's most outstanding art teachers and administrators in the late 20th century. His work as a promoter of Costa Rican culture earned him the nickname "El adelantado" ("The advanced").

Jacques Thuillier, (March 18, 1928, Vaucouleurs, Meuse – October 18, 2011, Paris) was a French art historian specializing in 17th-century French painting.
Thuillier was an honorary professor at the Collège de France, where he taught history of artistic creation from 1977 to 1998. He was a renowned specialist of French painting and, alongside the late Anthony Blunt, a leading authority on Nicolas Poussin. He published seminal works on the leading French painters of the time, including Simon Vouet, Georges de La Tour, the Le Nain brothers, Laurent de La Hyre, Sébastien Bourdon, Jacques Blanchard and Lubin Baugin. His publications on those painters often took the form of both an exhibition catalogue and a catalogue raisonné based on extensive archival research.
An avid collector, Thuillier donated, while still alive, along with his brother Guy Thuillier, his collection of drawings (2,000) and engravings (13,000) to the Museum of Fine Arts of Nancy and part of his collection of paintings to the art museum at Vic-sur-Seille. He donated to the city of Nevers part of his archives, his library, a collection of drawings and engravings, and his collections of photographs, thus making the Nevers Médiathèque into a documentation centre for French painting of the 17th century. Another part of these archives and manuscripts is held at the INHA (fr), in Paris.

Jorge Ibargüengoitia Antillón (January 22, 1928 – November 27, 1983) was a Mexican novelist and playwright who achieved great popular and critical success with his satires, three of which have appeared in English: The Dead Girls, Two Crimes, and The Lightning of August. His plays include Susana y los Jóvenes and Ante varias esfinges, both dating from the 1950s. His work also includes short stories and chronicles and is currently considered one of the most influential writers in Latin American literature.Ibargüengoitia was born in Guanajuato, Mexico. In 1955, he received a Rockefeller grant to study in New York City; five years later he received the Mexico City literary award. He died in Avianca Flight 011, which crashed on November 27, 1983, while it attempted to land in Madrid, Spain.

Pierre Siniac (1928–2002) received the Grand Prix de Littérature Policière in 1981 for three of his works, including Aime le Maudit.
Ferdinaud Céline was published in French in 1997 to great acclaim. Translated to English by Jordan Stump, it was published under the title The Collaborators. Pierre Bayard discussed it in Comment parler des livres que l'on n'a pas lus? (How to Talk About Books You Haven't Read).A story about the Paris Métro Line 8 inspired his novel Le Crime du dernier métro, published in 2001.

Maurice-Adolphe Gaidon (17 January 1928 – 14 November 2011) was the Roman Catholic bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Cahors, France.
Ordained to the priesthood in 1956, Gaidon became a bishop in 1973 retiring in 2004.
