Georges Thines (10 February 1923 – 25 October 2016) was a Belgian scientist. He was awarded the Francqui Prize on Human Sciences in 1971 for his work on experimental psychology at the Laboratory of Experimental Psychology of the Universite Catholique de Louvain.
Paul Héger (1846–1925) was a Belgian biologist, and was born to Constantin Héger and Claire Zoë Parent.
Paul Hèger assisted Earnest Solvay (famous for Solvay Process) along with Hendrik Lorentz (Dutch physicist who shared noble with Pieter Zeeman for Zeeman effect) in the formation of Solvay enterprise who arrange Solvay conferences.
Hèger was professor at Universitè Libre de Bruxelles and a close collaborator of Ernest Solvay. He wrote in 1912 the rules of institute of Physics with Dutch physicist Hendrick Lorentz 1902 Nobel Laureate.
Jean-Ovide Decroly (Ronse, 23 July 1871 – Uccle, 10 September 1932) was a Belgian teacher and psychologist.
He studied medicine at the University of Ghent, with half a year at the University of Berlin where he studied the action of toxins and antitoxins on general nutrition in 1898. He later worked with (mentally) handicapped children at the neurological clinic in Brussels.
Decroly founded The Hermitage School in 1907. He was a freemason, and a member of the lodge Les Amis Philanthropes of the Grand Orient of Belgium in Brussels. Nowadays the "Ecole Decroly" (based in Uccle, Brussels, a school reaching from kindergarten to baccalaureate) is following his pedagogical approach.
Jacques Mercier (born 17 October 1943 in Mouscron) is a Belgian writer and television and radio presenter.
The third eldest son of René and Denise Mercier, Jacques Mercier was educated at St. Joseph's College. Mercier joined RTBF in September 1963 and started his career by hosting radio shows such as Dimanche musique (with Stéphane Steeman) and Musique au petit déjeuner. He also hosted programmes such as Le Jeu des dictionnaires and La Semaine infernale, and on television, between 1980 until 1986 and again in 1989 he provided the French language commentary for RTBF viewers at the Eurovision Song Contest.
In November 2008, Mercier left the RTBF after 45 years of work.

Daniel Hulet (25 August 1945 Etterbeek - 9 September 2011 Ostend) was a Belgian cartoonist.
He began his career in advertising before collaborating with several weekly The Adventures of Tintin and Spirou comic strips. In 1980, he began Pharaoh with André-Paul Duchateau. In 1985, he joined the monthly publication Lived, where he created The Paths of Glory with Jan Bucquoy. Two years later, he began Morbid State, a post-industrial trilogy, for publisher Glénat. He returned to Pharoh in 1996.In 2003, he moved to a new publisher, Casterman, and created the comic Extra-Muros. He died in 2011.

He is currently in the prime time broadcast on the scientific GpiG A, but with Barbara Louys, It's Belgian magazine devoted to the Belgian monarchy and everything that makes excellence in Belgium. In radio, he leads the morning Viva Brussels (6h - 8:30) and the talk show of A View (8:40–9 am) on VivaCité.
In 2000, he gave the votes from the Belgian televote for the Eurovision Song Contest 2000 held in Stockholm, Sweden. He is the second son of Belgian comic book writer Jean Van Hamme.
Philippe Geluck (born 7 May 1954 in Belgium) is a Belgian comedian, humorist, television writer and cartoonist, who sold more than 14 million albums worldwide. He studied at the INSAS (Institut National Supérieur des Arts du Spectacle, National Higher Institute of the Arts of Spectacle). His best-known work is the comic strip Le Chat (Le Cat in English-language editions), which is one of the ten bestselling Franco-Belgian comics series.Geluck created Le Chat in 1983, for publication in the daily newspaper Le Soir. By 1987, the strip is published in multiple newspapers and the first album in what will become a long series is put in print. In the 2000s, Le Chat went global, being translated into several languages and reproduced beyond French-speaking regions, such as the United States and Iran.While drawing Le Chat, Geluck also published other albums and series: Le Fils du Chat, Docteur G, Encyclopédies Universelles, Les Aventures de Scott Leblanc, Geluck se lâche.Geluck is also a theatre actor, and well known to the French-speaking public as a television personality, with his own shows (Lollipop, L’esprit de famille, La Semaine infernale, Le Jeu des dictionnaire) and as co-host with Laurent Ruquier and Michel Drucker.In addition to having received other honours, King Albert II of Belgium made him a Commander of the Order of the Crown (Belgium) in 2009.
Christine Ockrent (born 24 April 1944) is a Belgian journalist whose career has principally centered on French television.
She interviewed Amir Abbas Hoveyda, the former Iranian prime minister, in Qasr prison after the Islamic revolution in 1979.
It was the last interview with Hoveyda before his execution.
