Émile_Demangel

Émile Joseph Demangel (20 June 1882 – 11 October 1968) was a French amateur track cyclist who competed in several sprint events at the 1906 Intercalated Games and 1908 Summer Olympics. In 1906 he finished fourth in the 5,000 m and 333⅓ m time trial events. At the 1908 Games he served as the flag bearer for the French delegation, won a silver medal in the 660 yards sprint, and placed fifth in the 1,980 yards team pursuit. The same year he set a world record in the paced 500 metre time trial and won a bronze medal in the sprint at the world championships. A street in Xertigny, where he died in 1968, is named for him.

Yavé_Cahard

Yavé Cahard (born 26 December 1957) is a cyclist from France. He competed at the 1980 Summer Olympics held in Moscow, Soviet Union in the individual sprint event where he finished in second place. Cahard also won one silver and two bronze medals in the professional sprint events at the 1982, 1983, and 1984 UCI World Track Cycling Championships.

Georges_Johin

Georges Édouard Johin (31 July 1877 in Paris – 6 December 1955 in Tessancourt-sur-Aubette) was a French croquet player and Olympic champion. He received a silver medal in Singles, one ball at the 1900 Summer Olympics in Paris.He also received a gold medal in Doubles (with Gaston Aumoitte), as the only participants in that competition.

Sylvain_Curinier

Sylvain Curinier (born 15 March 1969 in Lons-le-Saunier) is a French slalom canoeist who competed from the mid-1980s to the mid-1990s. He won a silver medal in the K1 event at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona.
Curinier also won a silver medal in the K1 team event at the 1993 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships in Mezzana.

Daouda_Sow_(boxer)

Daouda Sow (born 19 January 1983 in Roubaix) is an amateur boxer from France. He competed at the 2008 Summer Olympics in the lightweight division. Sow signed with the AIBA professional league, called AIBA Pro Boxing (APB), which launched in autumn of 2013.

Jean_Gachet

Jean Gachet (2 June 1894 in Saint-Étienne – 4 February 1968) was a French featherweight boxer. He competed in the 1920s. Gachet won a silver medal at the 1920 Summer Olympics, losing to Paul Fritsch in the final.

Khédafi Djelkhir, or sometimes Khesafi Djelkhir, (born 26 October 1983) is a French featherweight amateur boxer of Algerian origin. He qualified for the 2008 Summer Olympics and won a silver medal at the 2004 European Championships.

Armand_Apell

Armand Apell (January 16, 1905 in Strasbourg, German Empire – July 3, 1990) was a French boxer. He competed in the 1928 Summer Olympics.
In 1928, Apell won the silver medal in the flyweight class after losing the final against Antal Kocsis.

Henri_Tauzin

Henri Alexis Tauzin (17 April 1879 in Paris – 11 October 1918 in Lyon) was a French athlete who competed in the early twentieth century. He specialized in the 400 metres hurdles and won a silver medal in Athletics at the 1900 Summer Olympics in Paris, his birthplace.Tauzin also competed in the 200 metre hurdles, finishing fourth in his semifinal heat to not advance to the final.
An administrative officer in the army, Tauzin was killed in action during World War I.
