David Compton Tallichet Jr. (December 20, 1922 – October 31, 2007) was an American businessman who started, but did not originate, themed restaurants. He also owned scores of classic military aircraft.

Irvin Sylvan "Kip" Kipper, (November 13, 1916 – April 21, 2016) was a US Army Air Forces bomber pilot, prisoner of war, and the founder and namesake of Kip's Toyland, the oldest toy store in Los Angeles, located in the Farmer's Market since 1945.

John B. Jack Lowe Sr. (July 22, 1913 – 1980) was a Dallas native who founded Texas Distributors Inc. in the back of his aunt's auto parts store. Lowe established the company's servant-leadership culture dedicated to help employees succeed. It remains part of the company's vision and values to this day.
While building the company, Lowe became involved with the lives of others. Lowe served as a chairman of the multiracial Dallas Alliance Education Task Force, which worked to develop a widely accepted school desegregation plan. The plan was adopted almost word-for-word by the United States federal courts. In 1976, Lowe was awarded Dallas' highest community service accolades—the Linz Award—for his work on the Dallas Alliance Education Task Force.
Lowe also helped strengthen the Greater Dallas Council of Churches and he served on the Citizens Council. He was active on the boards of the Community Relations Commission, Salvation Army, American Red Cross, Urban League, YMCA and Girl Scout Council. He also was a member and chairman of the Cotton Bowl Athletic Association, the Salesmanship Club of Dallas and the Dallas Kiwanis Club.
Lowe died in 1980 at the age of 67, leaving behind his wife Harriet sons Ed, Bob, and Jack and daughter Ann Williams.

Jack Boynton Strong (February 18, 1930 – July 28, 2015) was an American politician and lawyer.
Born in Carthage, Texas, Strong graduated from Carthage High School. He then went to Lon Morris College. Strong received his bachelor's degree from University of Texas at Austin and his law degree from University of Texas School of Law. Strong then practiced law in Longview, Texas and was in the real estate business. Strong served in the Texas Senate between 1963 and 1971 and was a Democrat He then served on the Texas Board of Education from 1971 to 1979. Strong died in Longview, Texas.

James Earl Mankins Sr. (February 9, 1926 – August 20, 2013) was an American businessman and politician.
Born in Electra, Texas, Mankins served in the United States Army Air Forces during World War II. Mankins owned a trucking business in Kilgore, Texas. He served in the Texas House of Representatives from 1975 to 1985 as a Democrat. Mankins was defeated by Michael W. Martin in the 1980 election cycle. After Martin resigned the District 13 seat, Mankins won a special election to return to the state house. Mankins died in Longview, Texas.Mankins's son and namesake was indicted in 1995, after an investigation into the Kentucky Fried Chicken murders. Charges against Mankins Jr. were dismissed after DNA evidence failed to show that Mankins Jr. was involved in the crime. By a 2003 court order, his indictment was expunged from non-investigatory records of the KFC murders case, although Mankins Jr. remained imprisoned at the time on separate drug charges.

John Douglas Driggs (June 16, 1927 – December 11, 2014) was an American politician. He served as mayor of Phoenix, Arizona from 1970 to 1974.

Joseph E. Dini, Jr. (March 28, 1929 – April 10, 2014) was a Nevada state assemblyman, casino owner, from Yerington, Nevada. In 1996 Dini was ranked the tenth most influential Nevadan in a survey conducted by the Las Vegas Sun, a list that included Steve Wynn, Bill Raggio, then Governor Bob Miller and former Governor Mike O'Callaghan.

Carlos Flores Truan Sr. (June 9, 1935 – April 10, 2012), was an American businessman from Corpus Christi, Texas, who served for thirty-four years as a Democrat in both houses of the Texas Legislature. He was a state representative from 1969 to 1977 and a senator from 1977 until his retirement in 2003.

Donald Worthington Reynolds (September 23, 1906 – April 2, 1993) was an American businessman and philanthropist. He was the founder of Donrey Media Group, a communications company with newspaper, broadcasting and cable television holdings, and outdoor advertising.
