French male cyclists

Pascal Simon (born 27 September 1956) is a retired French road racing cyclist. A native of Mesnil St. Loup, he was a professional cyclist from 1979 to 1991. Pascal was the oldest of four brothers that all became professional cyclists: Régis, Jerôme and François.
In 1983, Simon obtained the yellow jersey while riding for Cycles Peugeot after the tenth stage of the Tour de France. One day later, Simon fell down and broke his shoulder. Simon continued for six more days, before the injury forced him out of the race.

Tino Sabbadini (Monsempron-Libos, 21 August 1928 — Monsempron-Libos, 7 November 2002) was a French professional road bicycle racer. He won the fourth stage of the 1958 Tour de France.

Laurent Roux (born 3 December 1972 in Cahors) is a French former road bicycle racer.

Louis Rostollan (1 January 1936 – 13 November 2020) was a French professional road bicycle racer.
He was a professional from 1958 until 1967, winning the Critérium du Dauphiné Libéré in 1958 and the Tour de Romandie in 1960 and 1961.
Rostollan died on 13 November 2020 of a lung disease at the age of 84.

Jean-François Rodriguez (born 19 December 1957) is a French former professional racing cyclist. He rode in four editions of the Tour de France and two editions of the Giro d'Italia.

Franck Renier (born 11 April 1974 in Laval, Mayenne) is a French former professional road bicycle racer.

Raoul Rémy (25 October 1919, in Marseille – 26 June 2002, in Marseille) was a French professional road bicycle racer.

Christian Raymond (born 24 December 1943) is a French former professional road bicycle racer. In 1970 Raymond won a stage in the 1970 Tour de France. He also competed in the individual road race at the 1964 Summer Olympics.Raymond's 12-year-old daughter was the source of the nickname of the great cyclist Eddy Merckx. Raymond was a rider in the Peugeot team in 1969. When he explained to his daughter how the race had gone, she said: "That Belgian, he doesn't even leave you the crumbs... he's a cannibal." The nickname stuck.

Nicolas Portal (23 April 1979 – 3 March 2020) was a French directeur sportif and professional road bicycle racer. He was born in Auch, France.
He missed much of the 2009 season because of problems with cardiac arrhythmia and retired as a professional cyclist following the 2010 season. He stayed with his final professional team, Team Sky, as a manager from the 2011 season. Following the retirement of Sean Yates, Portal was appointed lead directeur sportif of Team Sky for 2013.
He died of a heart attack on 3 March 2020, aged 40.

Jérôme Pineau (born 2 January 1980) is a French former professional road bicycle racer, who rode professionally between 2002 and 2015 for the Bouygues Télécom, Omega Pharma–Quick-Step and IAM Cycling squads. Born in Mont-Saint-Aignan, Pineau now works as the general manager for UCI ProSeries team B&B Hotels p/b KTM.
