Oddvar Stenstrøm (born 5 March 1946) is a Norwegian journalist and former host of the TV2 debate program Holmgang.
Stenstrøm has worked in a number of different journals and news channels, including the local newspaper Akers Avis/Groruddalens Budstikke, the national tabloids Dagbladet and Verdens Gang (the latter as head of foreign news) and as news editor for Aftenposten.
In television media, Stenstrøm has had several jobs for NRK between 1975 and 1987, and for TV2 from 1992. For NRK he has been the Washington D.C. correspondent, and head of the editorial board for the news broadcasts. For TV2 Stenstrøm was the editorial project leader from 1991 to 1992, before becoming Washington correspondent in 1997. He took over the Holmgang program after Nils Gunnar Lie in 1998, and held that until the program was shut down in 2008.As host for Holmgang, Stenstrøm was frequently under fire for what was perceived as frequently oversimplified topics, a genre viewed to favor the Progress Party. Among the criticisms were allegations from electoral researcher Frank Aarebrot that the program promoted racism, an allegation Stenstrøm strongly denounced. In an interview before Holmgang was over, Stenstrøm pointed out that one of the programs had been on the needed work foreigners do, titled "Uten innvandrere stopper Norge" ("Without foreigners, Norway stops").

Eva Seeberg (28 April 1931 – 12 January 2019) was a Norwegian journalist, novelist and screenwriter. She was born in Oslo. She made her literary debut in 1949 with Undring. Unge skisser. Her novels from the 1960s and 1970s include Det er meg han har vært hos from 1952, Aldri mer alene from 1955, and Tid til ømhet from 1968. She wrote several short story collections, including Lykken bor på Bislett from 1987.Films based on her novels, short stories or scripts include Bedre enn sitt rykte and Hjem går vi ikke from 1955, Kvinnens plass from 1956, Vaxdockan from 1962, Det är hos mig han har varit from 1963, and Hjelp – vi får leilighet! from 1965.

Elting Elmore Morison (December 14, 1909, Milwaukee, Wisconsin – April 20, 1995, Peterborough, New Hampshire) was an American historian of technology, military biographer, author of nonfiction books, and essayist. He was an MIT professor and the founder of MIT's Science, Technology, and Society (STS) program.

Margaret Mabel Gladys Jennings (née Allan; 26 July 1909 – 21 September 1998) was a Scottish motor racing driver. As Margaret Allan (sometimes erroneously "Allen") she was one of the leading British female racing and rally drivers in the inter-war years, and one of only four women ever to earn a 120 mph badge at the Brooklands circuit. During the war, Jennings worked as an ambulance driver and then at Bletchley Park's intelligence de-coding centre, and afterwards became a journalist and was Vogue magazine's motoring correspondent from 1948 to 1957.

Carlos Payán Velver (2 February 1929 – 17 March 2023) was a Mexican writer, journalist and politician. He was a senator from 1997 to 2000, elected by the proportional representation mechanism for the Party of the Democratic Revolution (PRD). He was the founder of La Jornada.In 2018, the Senate awarded him its Belisario Domínguez Medal of Honour for his "unwavering defence of free expression and human rights".

Tom Villiam Blohm (29 June 1920 – 30 December 2000) was a Norwegian football player. He was born in Kristiania, and played for the sports club SFK Lyn. He played for the Norwegian national team at the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki. He was capped 20 times for Norway between 1939 and 1952.

Bente Erichsen (born 7 January 1949) is a Norwegian culture director and the current (and inaugural) Director of the Nobel Peace Center.
A former journalist and commercials producer, Erichsen started her career as feature film producer in 1979. By 1998 she had produced 17 features, in addition to directing Over grensen (The Feldmann Case, 1987) and People and Robbers of Cardemom Town (1988), as well as a number short films. Erichsen was also the founder of the Amanda Award (The Norwegian film award) and a co-founder of Heddaprisen (The Norwegian Theatre Award).From 1991 to 1993 Erichsen headed the culture programme of the 1994 Olympic Winter Games in Norway. She was director of Hedmark Theatre from 1993 to 1997 and director of Norway's National Touring Theatre from 1997 to 2005. In 2005 she became the first director of the Nobel Peace Center.Erichsen has held board positions at numerous film and theatre institutions, and since 2006 has been chair of Amnesty International Norway. and The Open Theatre, Oslo.
In addition to writing numerous film scripts, Erichsen is also author of the book Culture Collision.

Leif Øgaard (born 5 January 1952) is a Norwegian chess player. He is the ninth Norwegian to achieve the title of Grandmaster. Øgaard won the Norwegian Chess Championship five times, in 1974, 1975, 1979, 1985 and 1993. He gained his IM title in 1974. In 1981 and 1982, Øgaard won two tournaments at Gausdal, each netting him a GM-norm. His third and final GM-norm was won in the Norwegian team chess championship in 2006–2007, making him the very first person to score 2 GM norms with a 25-year gap in-between as well as one of the oldest players to be awarded the Grandmaster title, since his last norm came when he was already in the mid 60's. The GM title was finally approved at FIDE's presidential board meeting in Tallinn on 22–24 June 2007. Øgaard is a member of the Oslo chess club Oslo Schackselskap.

Johan Randulf Bull Hambro (24 October 1915 – 27 February 1993) was a Norwegian journalist, translator and biographer. He was the fourth son of Norwegian politician C. J. Hambro, whose biography he wrote in 1984. He lived in the United States from 1939 to 1982, where he studied and worked as a foreign-affairs journalist, press attaché and consulate-general. He was secretary general of the Norse Federation for 27 years, from 1955 to 1982. He was decorated as a Knight, First Class of the Order of St. Olav in 1975.
