André_Nelis

André Nelis (29 October 1935 – 9 December 2012) was a sailor and Olympian. He was born in Borgerhout, Belgium. He sailed in the Finn dinghy class, and won a silver medal at the 1956 Summer Olympics in Melbourne and bronze at the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome. Competing in the Finn Gold Cup, Nelis won in 1956 and 1961; finished second in 1958, 1959, and 1960; and came third in 1957 and 1962.

Louis_Glineur

Louis Edouard Albert Glineur (born 10 December 1849, date of death unknown) was a Belgian competitor in the sport of archery. Glineur competed in one event, taking third place in the Sur la Perche à la Pyramide competition. He is now considered by the International Olympic Committee to have won a bronze medal[1]. No scores are known from that competition.

Heidi_Rakels

Heidi Rakels (born 22 June 1968 in Leuven, Flemish Brabant) is a female retired judoka from Belgium.
Rakels claimed a bronze medal in the Women's Middleweight (‍–‍66 kg) division at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain. In the bronze medal match she defeated Germany's Alexandra Schreiber. She also competed at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia.

Emmanuel_de_Blommaert

Emmanuel de Blommaert de Soye (15 October 1875 – 12 April 1944) was a Belgian horse rider who competed in the 1912 and 1920 Summer Olympics. In 1912 he won the bronze medal in the individual jumping competition, riding Clomore, and finished sixths with the Belgian team in the team jumping event. In the individual dressage competition he was 21st. In the individual eventing contest he was disqualified in the cross country ride, and the Belgian team was unplaced in the team eventing competition, when none of their riders were able to finish.Eight years later he and his horse Grizzly finished eleventh in the individual dressage event.

Cédric Mathy (born 2 February 1970) is a Belgian former cyclist. He competed for Belgium in the 1992 Summer Olympics held in Barcelona, Spain in the points race event where he won the bronze medal.

Ann_Haesebrouck

Ann Haesebrouck (born 18 October 1963 in Bruges, Belgium) is a rower from Belgium.
She competed for Belgium in the 1984 Summer Olympics held in Los Angeles, United States in the single sculls event where she finished in third place. she returned to the 1988 Summer Olympics where she finished sixth as part of the Belgian Quadruple sculls team and again in 1992 Summer Olympics where she finished ninth as part of the Belgian double sculls team.

Gérard_Blitz_(swimmer)

Gérard Blitz (1 August 1901 – 8 March 1979) was a Belgian Olympic swimmer and water polo player who competed at the 1920, 1924, 1928 and 1936 Olympics. He was the younger brother of Maurice Blitz, also a water polo player, and uncle of Gérard Blitz who founded Club Med in 1950.

Eric_Wauters

Eric Wauters (12 May 1951 – 21 October 1999) was a Belgian equestrian and Olympic medalist. He was born in Antwerp. He competed in show jumping at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, and won a bronze medal with the Belgian team. Wauters committed suicide in his home in 1999.
