Aaltje_Noordewier-Reddingius

Aaltje Noordewier–Reddingius (née Reddingius; 1 September 1868, Deurne – 6 April 1949) was a Dutch classical soprano who had an active performance career in the concert repertoire from 1888 through the 1930s. She was also a celebrated voice teacher.From 1886 to 1890, she studied at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. In 1893, she married painter Michiel Noordewier. She was a mentor to singers such as Aafje Heynis, Erna Spoorenberg and Laurens Bogtman.

Laura_Fygi

Laura Fygi (born 27 August 1955) is a Dutch jazz singer.
Fygi's father was a Dutch businessman, a director of Philips, and her mother an Egyptian belly dancer. She was raised in Uruguay, until her father's death in the late 1960s, when she moved back to the Netherlands with her mother. She was then under the care of a French-speaking governess before being adopted by the principal of her school. During the 1980s, she was a member of Centerfold, an all-female Dutch disco band which was popular in the Europe and Japan.In the early 1990s, she began a solo career and recorded her debut album with Toots Thielemans. During her career, she has worked with Johnny Griffin, Michel Legrand, Clark Terry and the Pasadena Roof Orchestra and considers Julie London one of her influences. She has sung in English, Chinese, French, Portuguese, and Spanish.

Princess_Christina_of_the_Netherlands

Princess Christina of the Netherlands (Maria Christina; 18 February 1947 – 16 August 2019) was the youngest of four daughters of Queen Juliana of the Netherlands and Prince Bernhard of Lippe-Biesterfeld. She taught singing in New York and was a long-term supporter of the Youth Music Foundation in the Netherlands. Born visually impaired, she worked to share her knowledge of dance and sound therapy with the blind.
She renounced her and her descendants' rights to the throne before marrying Cuban exile Jorge Guillermo in 1975, and converted to Catholicism in 1992. The couple had three children and built up an extensive art collection, before they divorced in 1996. Christina died of bone cancer in 2019.
