Georges_Lemaitre

Georges Henri Joseph Édouard Lemaître ( lə-MET-rə; French: [ʒɔʁʒ ləmɛːtʁ] ; 17 July 1894 – 20 June 1966) was a Belgian Catholic priest, theoretical physicist, mathematician, astronomer, and professor of physics at the Catholic University of Louvain. He was the first to theorize that the recession of nearby galaxies can be explained by an expanding universe, which was observationally confirmed soon afterwards by Edwin Hubble. He first derived "Hubble's law", now called the Hubble–Lemaître law by the IAU, and published the first estimation of the Hubble constant in 1927, two years before Hubble's article. Lemaître also proposed the "Big Bang theory" of the origin of the universe, calling it the "hypothesis of the primeval atom", and later calling it "the beginning of the world".

Hopalong_Cassady

Howard Albert "Hopalong" Cassady (March 2, 1934 – September 20, 2019) was an American football halfback and split end who played in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Ohio State Buckeyes, where he won the Heisman Trophy in 1955. Cassady played in the NFL for eight seasons, seven of them for the Detroit Lions, with whom he won the 1957 NFL Championship Game. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1979.

Arturo_Woodman

Arturo Woodman Pollit (16 October 1931 – 2 July 2023) was a Peruvian engineer and politician. He was National Unity's candidate for First Vice President of the 2006 general election, as the running mate of Lourdes Flores Nano. The ticket placed third and failed to qualify in the run-off.
Woodman was the president of the Peruvian Sports Institute, having successfully led the organization of the 2004 Copa América and the 2005 U-17 World Championship.
Woodman died on 2 July 2023, at the age of 91.
