Lester Barber Stevens (February 28, 1884, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin – January 1972, in Waukesha, Wisconsin) was an American athlete. He competed at the 1908 Summer Olympics in London. In the 100 meters, Stevens won his first round heat with a time of 11.2 seconds to advance to the semifinals. There, he placed fourth in his race and did not advance to the final.
Robert Vintousky (19 June 1902 – 8 January 1995) was a French athlete. He competed in the men's pole vault at the 1928 Summer Olympics.
Marcel Philippe (born 16 September 1951) is a French middle-distance runner. Born in New York City to a french father, he attended Mater Christi High School, where he set the still standing New York State Record in the 880 yds. While attending Fordham University, he was the 1973 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Champion. He still holds the Fordham record for indoor mile, 1000 yards, and outdoor 800m. At the 1976 Summer Olympics he competed in the men's 800 metres. Philippe set multiple french records in the 800m, 1000m and 4x1500m relay distances. He won both the 1973 and 1974 French Athletics Championships in the 800m.
Philippe participated in the 1973 European Cup, placing second to Dieter Fromm in the semi-final despite improving his french 800m record with a time of 1:45.79. He won a silver medal at the World University Games in Moscow, narrowly losing to Yevgeniy Arzhanov, the Munich 1972 Olympics silver medalist. That same year he beat Arzhanov to the line in the U.S 1973 Indoor Track and Field Championships, placing first in the 1000 yds with a time of 2:08.8.
Roy Staley (April 18, 1915 – March 25, 2001) was an American hurdler. He competed in the men's 110 metres hurdles at the 1936 Summer Olympics.
Vincent Luis (born 27 June 1989 in Vesoul, France) is a French professional triathlete. Besides his many WTS wins and participations to the 2012 Summer Olympics and 2016 Summer Olympics, he won the ITU World Championship in 2019 and 2020, and the Mixed Relay Team World Championship with the French national team in 2015, 2018 and 2019. He won the Junior World Championship and Junior European Championship in 2008, as well as multiple French national titles over the years.
Luis also competes in Super League Triathlon. He was dominant in the early years of the league, winning both the 2018 and 2019 Super League Triathlon Championship. He finished 5th in the 2021 Championship Series. His dominance, and 2020 Tokyo Olympic bid, were the subject of the 2021 docuseries Invincible
Dorian Coninx (born 28 January 1994) is a French triathlete. He competed in the men's event at the 2016 Summer Olympics.
Jacqueline Mazéas (10 October 1920 – 9 July 2012) was a French athlete who competed mainly in the discus event. She was born in Denain, Nord. She competed for France in the 1948 Summer Olympics held in London, United Kingdom in the discus where she won the bronze medal.
Henri Léon Émile Deloge (21 November 1874 in Saint-Mandé – 27 December 1961 in Bourg-la-Reine) was a French middle-distance runner who won a silver medal over 1500m in Athletics at the 1900 Summer Olympics in Paris ahead of John Bray. The race was won by Charles Bennett who won the gold medal. He also won the silver medal in the 5000 metres team race for the French distance team.Deloge also placed fourth in the 800 metres, after winning his semifinal heat with a time of 2:00.6. A repeat of that time would have won the final, but Deloge placed fourth instead with an unknown time (but one greater than 2:03.0, the silver medalist's time).
