French Olympic medalist stubs

Charles Gondouin (21 July 1875 – 25 December 1947) was a French rugby union player and tug of war competitor who competed in the 1900 Summer Olympics. He was a member of the French rugby union team, which won the gold medal. Gondouin studied at the Lycée Condorcet, then worked as a sports journalist. He also participated in the tug of war competition and won a silver medal as a member of French team. He was killed on Christmas Eve when he was struck by a motorist in Paris while returning from a meeting for a racing club in France.

Léon Binoche (16 August 1878 – 28 August 1962) was a French rugby union player who competed in the 1900 Summer Olympics. He was a member of the French rugby union team, which won the gold medal. His great-niece is the actress Juliette Binoche.

Auguste Paul Almire Giroux (29 July 1874 in Châteauneuf-sur-Loire, Loiret – 9 August 1953 in Portel-des-Corbières, Aude) was a French rugby union player who competed in the 1900 Summer Olympics. He was a member of the French rugby union team, which won the gold medal.

Henry Jean Guy Gauthier (30 December 1875 in Jarnac, Charente – 23 October 1938 in Cognac, Charente) was a French rugby union player who competed in the 1900 Summer Olympics. He was a member of the French rugby union team, which won the gold medal.

Jean Collas (3 July 1874 in Paris – 30 December 1928 in Asnières-sur-Seine, France) was a French rugby union player and tug of war competitor, who competed in the 1900 Summer Olympics. He was a member of the French rugby union team, which won the gold medal. He also participated in the tug of war competition and won a silver medal as a member of the French team.

Vladimir Aïtoff (August 5, 1879 in Paris – Septempber 6, 1963 in Paris) was a French rugby union player who competed in the 1900 Summer Olympics. Aïtoff was a member of the French rugby union team, which won the gold medal. During World War I, Aïtoff was a doctor in the French Army, with him being awarded with the Croix de Guerre and the Légion d'honneur. In World War II, he was imprisoned in both the Buchenwald and Auschwitz concentration camps.

Catherine Poirot (born 9 April 1963 in Tours) is a French former breaststroke swimmer who competed in the 1980 Summer Olympics and in the 1984 Summer Olympics.

Charles Devendeville (8 March 1882 in Lesquin – 19 September 1914 in Reims) was a French swimmer and Olympic champion. He competed at the 1900 Olympic Games in Paris, where he received a gold medal in the underwater swimming. He died of injuries during the First World War, at age 32.

Lise Christiane Renée-Legrand (born 4 September 1976 in Boulogne-sur-Mer) is a female French wrestler who competed in the Women's Freestyle 63 kg at the 2004 Summer Olympics and won the bronze medal.

Christophe Guénot (born 7 January 1979 in Saint-Rémy, Saône-et-Loire) is a French wrestler who won the Bronze medal in the Men's Greco-Roman 74kg in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. He also competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics.He is brother of the Olympic Champion Steeve Guenot.
