Jo Bauer-Stumpff (5 September 1873 – 19 December 1964) was a Dutch painter.
Bauer-Stumpff was born in Amsterdam and trained at the Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten there, where she studied under August Allebé. Her father William Stumpff was director-general at the Royal Dutch theatre. She was a member of Arti et Amicitiae (where she won a medal in 1952) and the Hollandse Aquarellisten Kring and is considered one of the Amsterdamse Joffers.In 1902 she married the painter Marius Bauer. The couple lived in Villa Stamboel in Aerdenhout and lived in Amsterdam from 1916. They made trips abroad to the Dutch East Indies and Egypt. She stopped painting almost altogether after marriage and cared for her husband. The marriage was childless. After his death, she became more active as an artist again. She is known for still lifes and portraits. Her pupils were Ans van den Berg, Frederik Henderik de Meester, and Hillegonda Henriëtte Tellekamp.Bauer-Stumpff died in Amsterdam.

Helen Matusevich Oujesky (August 14, 1930 – February 1, 2010) was an American professor of microbiology at the University of Texas, San Antonio. In this capacity she actively pursued environmental research on pollution of soil and water, particularly of toxic wastes.In her career span of 45 years in the field of education and research, Oujesky was the recipient of several awards such as from the National Science Foundation, Student Science Training Programs for High School Students, Minority Research Programs for Minority High School Students, and an Intervention Model Program for Girls Using Laboratory Activities in Science, Math and Engineering. On 30 January 1997, her name was incorporated in the Texas Women's Hall of Fame.

Yvonne Y. Clark (born Georgianna Yvonne Young; April 13, 1929 – January 27, 2019) was a pioneer for African-American and women engineers. Also known as Y.Y., she was the first woman to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering at Howard University, the first woman to earn a master's degree in Engineering Management from Vanderbilt University, and the first woman to serve as a faculty member in the College of Engineering and Technology at Tennessee State University, afterward becoming a professor emeritus.

Mary Palmer (née Reynolds; 9 February 1716 – 27 May 1794) was a British author from Devon who wrote Devonshire Dialogue, once considered the "best piece of literature in the vernacular of Devon." She was the mother of painter Theophila Gwatkin and sister of the artists Sir Joshua Reynolds and Frances Reynolds and of the pamphleteer Elizabeth Johnson.
