Edwin A. "Bud" Shrake, Jr. (September 6, 1931 – May 8, 2009) was an American journalist, sportswriter, novelist, biographer and screenwriter. He co-wrote a series of golfing advice books with golf coach Harvey Penick, including Harvey Penick's Little Red Book, a golf guide that became the best-selling sports book in publishing history. Called a “lion of Texas letters” by the Austin American-Statesman, Shrake was a member of the Texas Film Hall of Fame, and received the Lon Tinkle lifetime achievement award from the Texas Institute of Letters and the Texas Book Festival Bookend Award.

Gavin_Greig
Gavin Greig (1856–1914) was a Scottish folksong collector, playwright, novelist and teacher.
He edited James Scott Skinner's biggest collection of music, The Harp and Claymore Collection, providing harmonies for Skinner's compositions, and he was jointly responsible for compiling The Greig-Duncan Folk Song Collection, with the Rev J.B. Duncan (1848–1917). A selection from this collection of over 3,000 songs and tunes was published in 1925. Two volumes were published in 1981-1982, but the full collection, in eight volumes, was only finally published between 1981 and 2002.He was also the author of the Doric Scots play Mains Wooin', which was very popular in the North East of Scotland before World War II. His novels include Morrison Gray: or, Life in a Buchan Schoolhouse serialised in the Peterhead Sentinel between May 1896 and January 1897, The Hermit o' Gight serialised in the Buchan Observer between 1898 and 1899. and the historical romance Logie o' Buchan published in Aberdeen in 1899.Greig was related to Robert Burns on his mother's side and to Edvard Grieg on his father's side.

Johan Vestly (November 24, 1923 – November 28, 1993) was a Norwegian illustrator, artist and film producer.
Johan Vestly was born in Oslo, Norway. After taking his secondary education in 1943, he studied at the Norwegian National Academy of Craft and Art Industry as well as privately. He also stayed in Paris in 1949. Originally a painter, Vestly was represented at the Norwegian Autumn Exhibition in 1947.Johan Vestly illustrated his first book in 1953, and later illustrated most of the books of his wife, Anne-Cath. Vestly. Together with his wife, Johan Vestly twice received the Illustrasjonsprisen awarded by the Norwegian National Library Authority (Statens bibliotektilsyn). In 1964, the husband and wife team was honored for Knerten gifter seg and in 1976 for Guro og nøkkerosene.Vestly also worked as a television producer on several programs including the television series Guro and directed a documentary on Norwegian skier pioneer, Sondre Nordheim. Norway's stamps for the 2010 Europa issue under the joint theme of children's books featured illustrates by Johan Vestly. The stamps featured Mormor og de åtte ungene (Grandma and the Eight Children) from the seven books series written by Anne-Cath. Vestly.
