Ernest Sterckx (1 December 1922 – 3 February 1975) was a Belgian professional racing cyclist. He won the 1946 Gent-Wevelgem and Omloop Het Nieuwsblad in 1952, 1953 and 1956.In 2023, a statue of him was erected in Heultje, Belgium.

Berit Berthelsen (née Tøien, 25 April 1944 – 13 February 2022) was a Norwegian athlete. She represented IL Tyrving, as well as her national team.
Lisbeth Korsmo (14 January 1948 – 22 January 2017) was a Norwegian speed skater, cyclist, and Olympic medalist. She received a bronze medal at the 1976 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck. She also won the Norwegian National Road Race Championship in 1981. She died on 22 January 2017 at the age of 69.
Edwin Frank "Win" Young (September 29, 1947 – June 22, 2006) was an American diver. He represented the United States at the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City, where he won a bronze medal in 10 m platform.Young was a six-time All-American diver for Indiana University and won the gold medal in 10 m platform at the 1967 Pan American Games. In retirement he coached diving at the University of Arizona.Young died in 2006, aged 58. He was survived by his daughter, Heather Marie Burgoyne.

Violeta Delgado (born 17 October 1996 in Lima, Peru) is a Peruvian volleyball player who plays as libero for the Peru national team. Violeta was part of the team that won gold at the 2012 Youth South American Championship, the first gold medal for Peruvian volleyball in that category after 32 years and the first gold in any category in 19 years.
