She is best known for having won thirteen Union Cycliste Internationale senior mountain bike world championship rainbow jerseys, fourteen European mountain bike championships, and five consecutive Mountain Bike World Cup downhill series (1998-2002). She was nominated for the 2003 Laureus World Sports Awards Alternative Sportsperson of the Year. At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, Chausson competed for France in the inaugural women's BMX event, winning the gold medal.

His personal best in the event is 48.91 seconds set in Atlanta in 1996. This is the standing national records.
Paul_Bontemps
Paul Pierre Bontemps (16 November 1902 – 25 April 1981) was a French runner. He competed at the 1924 Paris Olympics in the 3,000 m steeplechase and in the flat 3,000 m team event, and finished in third and fourth place, respectively. He set an unofficial world record in the steeplechase a few weeks before the Games.
