Ørnulf Bast (25 January 1907 – 28 October 1974) was a Norwegian sculptor and painter particularly known for his public monuments.

Thore Heramb (29 December 1916 – 16 June 2014) was a Norwegian painter and illustrator. His art was inspired by impressionism and by cubism. His artistic style is commonly described as colourist and frequently featured abstracted landscapes.

Richard Wray (December 5, 1933 - January 9, 2011) was an American abstract expressionist painter whose work had an influence on the art scene in Houston, Texas. After an art career spanning over 50 years, he died at age 77 of liver disease. Jan Roëde, real name Jan Roede (13 June 1914 in Groningen – 30 May 2007) was a Dutch artist who worked in numerous disciplines. He was a member of the Pulchri Studio in The Hague, and the Posthoorn-group.

Hendrik (Henry) de Vries (17 August 1896 in Groningen, Netherlands – 18 November 1989 in Haren, Netherlands) was a significant Dutch poet and painter. He was an early surrealist, was liberal-minded, and preached vitality. The subconscious mind plays a crucial role in his poetry.
Much his inspiration came from his interest in Spain and Spanish culture. He visited Spain frequently and became proficient enough to write many poems in Spanish.
De Vries had many collections of his poetry, writings, and artworks published during his lifetime. He also contributed to the literary magazine Het Getij (The Tide).
De Vries' work was included in the 1939 exhibition and sale Onze Kunst van Heden (Our Art of Today) at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.

Joseph Grimeland (2 January 1916 – 10 October 2002) was a Norwegian sculptor.

Ferdinand Oscar Finne (12 October 1910 – 31 December 1999) was a Norwegian author, painter, graphic artist, theater decorator and costume designer.

Gunnvor Advocaat (17 August 1912 – 26 July 1997) was a Norwegian painter. She was regarded among the pioneers of abstract painting in Norway.
