César Manrique Cabrera (Spanish pronunciation: [ˈθesaɾ manˈrike] or [ˈsesaɾ manˈrike]) (24 April 1919 – 25 September 1992) was a Spanish artist, sculptor and nature activist from Lanzarote, known particularly for the architectural projects in which he was involved as artistic director in his island.

Alfred Freddy Krupa (14 June 1971, Karlovac, Yugoslavia) is a Croatian painter and book illustrator. He graduated from the University of Zagreb Academy of Fine Arts in 1995. He published New Ink Art Manifesto in 1996 and departed to Tokyo Gakugei University in 1998. He became well known to the general public in 1990 via the then popular Yugoslav weekly "Vikend/Weekend". Author Milica Jović wrote in her article for New York-based Highlark Magazine that Krupa is considered the pivotal figure in the Western New Ink Art movement. He got the award of the Order of Danica Hrvatska on April 26, 2023 and The City of Karlovac Award on the 13th July 2023.

Alice Louise Judd Simpich (1918–2006), also known as Awee Simpich was an American sculptor. She was born in Honolulu on March 1, 1918, and graduated from Sarah Lawrence College in 1940. Simpich is best known for her sensitive portrait busts. In addition to being a sculptor, she was an active member and supporter of the Maui Humane Society. Simpich died at age 87 on January 21, 2006. Her carved stone portrait bust Head of a Young Woman, ca. 1953 is installed in the John Dominis and Patches Damon Holt Gallery of the Honolulu Museum of Art.
Joseph Goto (1916–1994) was an American sculptor, best known for his abstract-expressionist welded steel sculptures. He was born in Hilo, Hawaii, and learned welding in the United States Army during the Second World War. In the late 1940s, Goto studied sculpture at the Art Institute of Chicago. He taught at Brandeis University, Carnegie Mellon University, the Rhode Island School of Design, and the University of Michigan.Goto's sculptures range from table-top size to large scale public works. No. 24 in the collection of the Honolulu Museum of Art is typical of his small-scale works.
