Walter Jones Bellamy (July 24, 1939 – November 2, 2013) was an American professional basketball player. A four-time NBA All-Star, he was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

Jerry_Lucas

Jerry Ray Lucas (born March 30, 1940) is an American former basketball player. He was a nationally awarded high school player, national college star at Ohio State, and 1960 gold medal Olympian and international player before later starring as a professional player in the National Basketball Association (NBA).
As a collegian, Lucas led the Ohio State Buckeyes to three straight NCAA finals (1960–1962), winning the national championship in 1960, and finishing as runner-up in 1961 and 1962. He is the only three-time Big Ten Basketball Player of the Year and was named the NCAA Player of the Year in 1961 and 1962 by the United States Basketball Writers Association (now Oscar Robertson Award), the Associated Press, and the Sporting News.As a professional, Lucas was named All-NBA First Team three times, All-NBA Second Team twice, an NBA All-Star seven times (including six years in a row), was the 1964 NBA Rookie of the Year, and was named Most Valuable Player of the 1965 NBA All-Star Game among other honors and awards. He was inducted to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1980.

Peder_Lunde_Jr.

Peder Lunde Jr. (born 9 February 1942) is a retired Norwegian sailor who competed in the 1960, 1968, 1972 and 1976 Olympics. In 1960, he won a gold medal in the Flying Dutchman class, together with Bjørn Bergvall. Eight years later, he earned a silver medal in the Star class, together with Per Olav Wiken. He placed sixth in the same event in 1972, and 16th in 1976 in the three-person keelboat. In 1981-82, he was a crewmember on the yacht Berge Viking in the Whitbread Round the World Yacht Race. Lunde comes from a sailing family: his parents Peder and Vibeke Lunde together with uncle Børre Falkum-Hansen won a silver medal at the 1952 Summer Olympics, and his grandfather Eugen Lunde became an Olympic champion in 1924. His wife Aud is an Olympic alpine skier, and their daughter Jeanette competed at Olympics both in alpine skiing and sailing.He resides at Snarøya.

André_Nelis

André Nelis (29 October 1935 – 9 December 2012) was a sailor and Olympian. He was born in Borgerhout, Belgium. He sailed in the Finn dinghy class, and won a silver medal at the 1956 Summer Olympics in Melbourne and bronze at the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome. Competing in the Finn Gold Cup, Nelis won in 1956 and 1961; finished second in 1958, 1959, and 1960; and came third in 1957 and 1962.

Guy_Lefrant

Guy Lefrant (1923–1993) was a French equestrian. He won a silver medal in individual eventing at the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki. He won a bronze medal in team eventing at the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome, together with Jack le Goff and Jéhan Le Roy.

Leo_Sterckx

Leo Sterckx (16 July 1936 – 4 March 2023) was a Belgian cyclist. He competed for Belgium at the 1960 Summer Olympics held in Rome, Italy in the individual sprint event where he finished in second place.Sterckx died on 4 March 2023, at the age of 86.

Guy_Nosbaum

Guy Nosbaum (10 May 1930 – 12 August 1996) was a French rower who competed in the 1952 Summer Olympics and in the 1960 Summer Olympics. He was Jewish, and was born in Corbeil. In 1952 he was a crew member of the French boat which was eliminated in the semi-finals of the coxed four event. Eight years later he won the silver medal with the French boat in the coxed fours competition.
