Sven_Ivar_Dysthe

Sven Ivar Dysthe (25 August 1931 – 1 March 2020) was a Norwegian furniture designer born in Oslo, Norway. Among his designs is the armchair 1001 from 1960, and the chair Laminette from 1964. He was awarded Norsk Form's Jakob Award in 1986.

Haaken_Christensen

Haaken Andreas Christensen (16 February 1924 – 9 April 2008) was a Norwegian art historian, art collector and gallerist.
He was born in Kristiania to Arne Christensen and Ingeborg Wiese.Christensen graduated in art history from the University of Oslo in 1955. He opened his own gallery in Oslo in 1961, Galleri Haaken, which he was running for about forty years. Among his works is his thesis about Gustave Courbet, two books about Olivier Debré, essays on Serge Poliakoff, Horst Janssen and Alfred Manessier, and the memoir book En gallerists erindringer from 1985. He was decorated Knight of the French Ordre des Arts et des Lettres.

Erik_Borge

Erik Borge (22 October 1924 – 11 May 2008) was a Norwegian film director and screenwriter. He was born in Kristiania. Among his productions was Trost i taklampa from 1955, based on Alf Prøysen's novel. He was manager of the company Norsk Film from 1966 to 1984. He received the Amanda Committee's Honorary Award in 1989, shared with Erik Diesen.

Finn_Christensen_(artist)

Finn Christensen (26 February 1920 – 28 February 2009) was a Norwegian painter and graphic artist.
He was born in Kristiania and attended the Norwegian National Academy of Fine Arts from 1945 to 1947. He had several substantial decorating assignments, among others at hospitals (Rikshospitalet 1964, Ullevål and Aker 1969), churches (Lambertseter 1967, Åssiden 1968) and NRK. The National Gallery of Norway owns the relief Relieff (1971–72) and nine drawings; works were also bought by Riksgalleriet, Gothenburg Museum of Art, Nationalmuseum, Statens Museum for Kunst and the Museum of Modern Art. He was a member of the Arts Council Norway from 1985 to 1988.

Rolf_Yngvar_Berg

Rolf Yngvar Berg (2 December 1925 – 25 August 2018) was a Norwegian botanist.
He was born in Oslo. He took the dr.philos. degree 1962 on the work Studies in Liliaceae, tribe Parideae. He was a curator at the Botanical Museum of Oslo from 1956 to 1962, professor of botany at the University of California, Davis from 1962 to 1965 and at the University of Oslo from 1965 to 1994. He has been a corresponding fellow of the American Botanical Society from 2003, and a fellow of the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters. He died at the age of 92.

Erik_Alfsen

Erik Magnus Alfsen (13 May 1930 – 20 November 2019) was a Norwegian mathematician. He is the author of Compact Convex Sets and Boundary Integrals, published in 1971. He was a board member of the Norwegian Research Council for Science and the Humanities (NAVF) for two years, and has also been involved in Nei til Atomvåpen and the Pugwash Conferences. He was a member of the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters, the Royal Norwegian Society of Sciences and Letters and the Royal Danish Academy of Sciences and Letters.
