'Alejandro Chal Salazar, professionally known as A. Chal (stylized A.CHAL), is a Peruvian-American singer-songwriter, rapper, and record producer. He released his first EP, Ballroom Riots, in 2013. His debut studio album, Welcome to GAZI, was self-released in June 2016. His single, "Round Whippin'", was premiered by Zane Lowe in 2015. He has performed at the Day N Nite Fest. Pigeons & Planes named him one of the best new artists in 2015.

Castro has worked with Cartier, Calvin Klein, and NARS Cosmetics. His work has appeared in fashion publications, such as i-D magazine, Document Journal, CR Fashion Book, Vogue, W, and Office Magazines. He has also been part of fashion designer Willy Chavarria's professional team.His films explore themes of diversity and immigration, and his documentary and fashion short films have been screened at the Palm Springs Film Festival, San Diego Latino Film Festival, Berlin Commercial, Milano Fashion Film Festival, and Malaga Film Festival.

Alvaro Martin Bedoya (born February 21, 1982) is an American attorney and government official who has served on the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) since 2022.
Known for his focus on digital privacy issues, Bedoya was the founding director of the Center on Privacy and Technology at the Georgetown University Law Center. Bedoya is a member of the Democratic Party and was nominated to the position by President Joe Biden.

Elizabeth_Guzmán

Elizabeth Rosalina Guzmán is a Peruvian-American politician and social worker who represented Virginia's 31st House of Delegates district in Virginia's House of Delegates. She served on the House committees on Privileges and Elections and Cities, Counties, and Towns. Guzman was a Democratic candidate for Virginia Lieutenant Governor in 2021.
She was an unsuccessful candidate to represent Virginia's 29th Senate district, failing to unseat incumbent Jeremy McPike.
Guzman was Virginia co-chair of the Bernie Sanders 2020 presidential campaign. In June 2020, Guzman was elected at the Democratic Party of Virginia State Convention to represent the Commonwealth of Virginia at the DNC.

Dave Chavarri is a Peruvian American musician, and is the founder, producer, manager, and drummer for the band Ill Niño, and Terror Universal. He is also the former drummer for bands Soulfly, Pro-Pain, M.O.D., Merauder and Lȧȧz Rockit, and Gothic Slam. Chavarri is also the owner of entertainment company C.I.A Management, whose roster includes Ill Niño, Terror Universal, and others.

Miguel_Mena

Jose Miguel Mena Rodriguez (November 6, 1986 – October 31, 2021) was a Peruvian-born American jockey in Thoroughbred horse racing who had been competing in the United States from 2003 until his death. He won his 2,000th race in 2020. He was from a Peruvian family involved in horse racing. His father Jose is a retired jockey.
Mena's first horse racing related memory was of Grozny winning the Derby Nacional.Mena won two Grade 1 races in his career, and in 2015 he swept the major three-year-old stakes races at the Fair Grounds aboard International Star.Mena was killed on October 31, 2021, when he was struck by the driver of a vehicle as a pedestrian on Interstate 64 in Louisville, Kentucky.

José Antonio Mazzotti is a Peruvian poet, scholar, and literary activist. He is Professor of Latin American Literature and King Felipe VI of Spain Professor of Spanish Culture and Civilization in the Department of Romance Studies at Tufts University, President of the International Association of Peruvianists since 1996, and Director of the Revista de Crítica Literaria Latinoamericana since 2010. He is considered an expert in Latin American colonial literature, especially in El Inca Garcilaso de la Vega and the formation of criollo cultures, a critic of Latin American contemporary poetry, and a prominent member of the Peruvian 1980s literary generation. He received the José Lezama Lima special poetry prize from Casa de las Américas, Cuba, in 2018, for his collection El zorro y la luna. Poemas reunidos, 1981-2016.
During his early years, Mazzotti won the First Prize in the 1980 "Túpac Amaru" Poetry Contest at the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, with Poemas no recogidos en libro (Poems Not Collected in a Book, Lima, 1981). In 1985, he published his second collection, Fierro curvo (órbita poética) (Curved Iron (poetic orbit)), and in 1988 his third book, Castillo de popa (Poop Deck), which reflects the state of mind of a wide sector of Peruvian youth at that time in the face of the difficult years of the civil war and the galloping economic deterioration of the country. The book was a finalist in the Casa de las Américas Award in Havana that same year. He has also published the poetry collections El libro de las auroras boreales (The Book of the Northern Lights, Amherst, MA, 1995), Señora de la noche (Lady of the Night, Mexico City, 1998), El Zorro y la Luna. Antología Poética 1981-1999 (The Fox and the Moon. Poetry Anthology 1981-1999, Lima, 1999), Sakra Boccata (Mexico City, 2006, and Lima, 2007, with a foreword by Raúl Zurita), Las flores del Mall (The Flowers of the Mall, Lima, 2009), Declinaciones latinas (Latin Declensions, Houston and Mexico City, 2015 ), Apu Kalypso / Palabras de la bruma (Lima, 2015), a compilation of his complete work with the same title of El Zorro y la Luna (New York, 2016), and Nawa Isko Iki / Cantos amazónicos (Lima, 2020). A bilingual version of Sakra Boccata with translations by Clayton Eshleman appeared in 2013 in Ugly Duckling Press, New York. The Fox and the Moon, a selection of his poetry in English, was published in 2018 by Axiara Editions (Oregon). He has been included in numerous Peruvian and foreign anthologies, such as the Antología general de la poesía peruana: de Vallejo a nuestros días (Lima), La mitad del cuerpo sonríe (Mexico), La letra en que nació la pena (Lima), Caudal de piedra (Mexico), Fuego abierto (Chile), Cuerpo plural (Spain), Liberation: New Works on Freedom from International Renowned Poets (USA),Volteando el siglo: 25 poetas peruanos (Cuba, 2020), etc.

Jenny_Lidback

Jenny Lidback (born 30 March 1963) is a professional golfer.
Lidback was born in Lima, Peru to Swedish parents. She attended Texas Christian University and Louisiana State University.Lidback's rookie season on the LPGA Tour was 1989. Her only win on the Tour came in 1995 at one of the major championships, the du Maurier Ltd. Classic. She had her best finish on the money list in the same year, placing 21st. She retired from tournament golf after the 2003 season.
Lidback became a U.S. citizen in May 2003. Her nephew, Roberto Castro, plays on the PGA Tour.
