John Von Ohlen (May 13, 1941, Indianapolis, Indiana – October 3, 2018, Cincinnati, Ohio) was an American jazz drummer who worked for Woody Herman in 1967 and 1969, then with Stan Kenton from 1970 to 1972. He began playing Trombone in middle school, and played through high school. He graduated from North Central High School in 1960. He then went to North Texas State briefly, but returned to Indianapolis shortly after.Von Ohlen led the Blue Wisp Big Band in Cincinnati from 1980 to 2018, and his own groups under his name ranging from quartets to big band. From 1967 to 1968, Von Ohlen toured with Billy Maxted’s Manhattan Jazz Band. In the 1980s and 1990s, Von Ohlen was a member of a big band led by the pianist Steve Allee.Von Ohlen died on October 3, 2018, at the age of 77.

Jane Fortune (August 7, 1942 – September 23, 2018) was an American author and journalist. Many of her publications and philanthropic activities were centered on the research, restoration, and exhibition of art by women in Florence, Italy.

Rodolfo O. de la Garza (August 17, 1942 – August 5, 2019) was an American political scientist.
De la Garza was born in Tucson, Arizona, on August 17, 1942. He attended Tucson High School, graduating in 1960 and earned a doctorate from the University of Arizona in 1972. He then worked for the United States Agency for International Development in South America. De la Garza began his teaching career at the University of Texas at El Paso, and later moved to the University of Texas at Austin, where he was Mike Hogg Professor of Community Affairs. In 2001, de la Garza joined the Columbia University faculty. At Columbia, he was appointed Eaton Professor of Administrative Law and Municipal Science. De la Garza died in New York City on August 5, 2019.

Robert J. Weber (1942 in Stout, Iowa – 21 November 2018 in Des Moines) was an American engineer and researcher who specialized in microwave engineering, device fabrication, fiber optics, and sensor design. He was professor emeritus of Iowa State University‘s Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and a life fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).Weber received his Ph.D. from Iowa State in 1967. He worked for Rockwell Collins for 25 years before becoming a professor in 1988. He retired in 2010.

Marcia Jean Hafif (née Woods; August 15, 1929 – April 17, 2018) was an American painter born in Pomona, California.
Her work has been associated with the Radical Painting Group, an artist collective focused on abstraction and active during the 1970s and 1980s, which she formed together with Joseph Marioni, Olivier Mosset, and Erik Saxon.

Jean Mill (née Sones; May 14, 1926 – June 6, 2018) was an American cat breeder. Mill is best known as the founder of the Bengal cat breed: Mill successfully crossed the wild Asian leopard cat with a domestic cat, and then backcrossed the offspring through five generations to create the domestic Bengal. Mill made contributions to two other cat breeds: the Himalayan and the standardized version of the Egyptian Mau. Mill and her first husband, Robert Sugden, were involved in a precedent-setting case about the United States government's power to monitor short wave radio communications. She also authored two books on Bengal cats.

Roger Perry (May 7, 1933 – July 12, 2018) was an American film and television actor whose career began in the late 1950s. He served as an intelligence officer in the United States Air Force during the early 1950s.
