María Elena Moyano Delgado (29 November 1958 – 15 February 1992) was an Afro-Peruvian community organizer and feminist who was assassinated by the Shining Path. She grew up in poverty in the Villa El Salvador pueblo joven, then became involved in local activism. She was twice president of FEPOMUVES (the Popular Federation of Women of Villa El Salvador) and at the time of her death was deputy mayor. Her funeral was attended by 300,000 people and resulted in a downturn in support for the Shining Path. She received the Peruvian Order of Merit posthumously.

José María Albareda Herrera (Caspe, 15 April 1902 - 26 February 1966, Madrid) was a Spanish soil scientist and science administrator. From its 1939 creation by Francoist Spain to his 1966 death, he was the secretary general and head of the Higher Council of Scientific Research (CSIC), the main Spanish scientific institution.
He was one of the first numerary members of the Opus Dei (from 1937) and was a close friend of its founder, Josemaría Escrivá. He was ordained a priest in 1959. In 1960, he was appointed the first president of the University of Navarra.

Solier has publicly spoken about the importance of supporting indigenous language, traditions, and culture.In 2003, she won the Festival de la Canción Ayacuchana with her singing. A year later, she made her debut as an actress in the film Madeinusa.In June 2017, Solier was declared an Artist of Peace by UNESCO in Paris, France.

Eric Fukusaki (エリック・フクサキ, born April 27, 1991) is a Peruvian singer based in Japan. Born and raised in Lima, he began singing in competitions during his adolescence and placing first in several. After successfully auditioning for the Up-Front Works record label, he debuted alongside Munehiko Ohno in Alma Kaminiito in 2012. The duo released three singles and one album before its dissolution the following year. In 2014, he embarked on a solo career; his discography consists of three singles and one cover mini-album.

Juliane Margaret Beate Koepcke (born 10 October 1954), also known by her married name Juliane Diller, is a German-Peruvian mammalogist who specialises in bats. The daughter of German zoologists Maria and Hans-Wilhelm Koepcke, she became famous at the age of 17 as the sole survivor of the 1971 LANSA Flight 508 plane crash; after falling 3,000 m (10,000 ft) while strapped to her seat and suffering numerous injuries, she survived 11 days alone in the Peruvian Amazon rainforest until she was rescued by local fishermen after finding their camp.

A member of the American Popular Revolutionary Alliance, he was a friend of Víctor Raúl Haya De La Torre. He served as the President of the Senate from July 1964 to July 1965, and from July 1987 until his death. Several roads and places in Lima are named for him.
