William Horace Marshall (August 19, 1924 – June 11, 2003) was an American actor, director and opera singer. He played the title role in the 1972 blaxploitation classic Blacula and its sequel Scream Blacula Scream (1973), and appeared as the King of Cartoons on the 1980s television show Pee-wee's Playhouse and as Dr. Richard Daystrom on the Star Trek television series. He was 6‘5” (1.96 m) tall and was known for his bass voice.
Bob Prewitt (July 26, 1924 – May 3, 2018) was an American college basketball coach. He was the head coach at Southern Methodist University from 1967 to 1975.Prewitt served in the Army Air Corps before enrolling at SMU in 1947. He served as team captain for the 1948-49 season, and was an All-Conference pick. Prewitt joined the coaching staff as an assistant in 1949 and helped the team to its first Final Four in 1956. In 1967, he became head coach, and led the team to a Southwest Conference regular-season title in 1972. He died on May 3, 2018, in Dallas, Texas at age 93.
Rebeca de Iturbide Betancourt (1924–2003) was a Mexican-American actress of the Golden Age of Mexican cinema, who was known for her versatility, being able to play comedy or drama. She was a pioneer in television, playing roles in the mid-1950s. In addition to acting, she also wrote and painted.
Harry Randell Van Horne Jr. (February 10, 1924 – September 26, 2007) was an American singer and musician. Van Horne's musical group, the Randy Van Horne Singers, performed the theme songs for many classic Hanna-Barbera cartoons including The Flintstones, Top Cat, The Jetsons and The Huckleberry Hound Show.
Cynthia Brants (20 June 1924 – 11 January 2006) was an American artist and a member of the Fort Worth Circle of artists. She attended Saturday classes at the Fort Worth School of Fine Art from the age of 10, studying under Blanche McVeigh. After leaving Fort Worth Arlington Heights High School, Brants attended Madeira School, Greenway, Virginia and then majored in art at Sarah Lawrence College, Bronxville, New York. Here she studied under Kurt Roesch and met a number of European refugees who were working in the New York art world, including André Masson and Lyonel Feininger.
After graduation, Brants traveled around post-war Europe, and established her studio in Fort Worth.From 1958 to 1962 she taught painting and drawing at Sarah Lawrence College.In 1979 Brant moved to Granbury, Texas, where she worked as a scenic designer and painter during the renovation and re-opening of the Granbury Opera House.
Eloise Jelinek (February 2, 1924 in Dallas – December 21, 2007 in Tucson) was an American linguist specializing in the study of syntax. Her 1981 doctoral dissertation at the University of Arizona was titled "On Defining Categories: AUX and PREDICATE in Colloquial Egyptian Arabic". She was a member of the faculty of the University of Arizona from 1981 to 1992.She became particularly known for her Pronominal Argument Hypothesis of syntax based on data from the Navajo language, which holds that in some languages the pronominal affixes on the verb should be considered the syntactic arguments of the verbs, rather than the noun phrases that occur free in the clause, which should only be considered adjuncts.Through her work on many endangered languages she demonstrated that less-studied languages often challenged the theories of generative linguistics, and she worked to develop ways of integrating this data into the generative paradigm. Among the languages that she worked on are the Straits Salish languages Samish and Lummi, as well as Navajo, Choctaw, and Yaqui.
Peter J. O'Donnell Jr. (April 21, 1924 – October 10, 2021) was an American businessman, securities investor and philanthropist. From 1962 to 1969, he was the Texas Republican state chair. In 1963, he was also the national chair of the Draft Goldwater Committee.

Doris Gwendolyn Tate (née Willett; January 16, 1924 – July 10, 1992) was an American activist for the rights of crime victims, who was best known as the mother of actress Sharon Tate. After Sharon Tate and several others were murdered by members of the Manson Family in 1969, Doris Tate began working to raise public awareness about the U.S. corrections system. She was influential in a court decision that amended California criminal laws relating to the rights of victims of violent crime.
Bette Nesmith Graham (March 23, 1924 – May 12, 1980) was an American typist, commercial artist, and the inventor of the correction fluid Liquid Paper. She was the mother of musician and producer Michael Nesmith of The Monkees.
