Felice Chiusano (28 March 1922 – 3 February 1990) was one of the singers of Quartetto Cetra, a popular Italian vocal quartet.

Sergio Bruni (stage name of Guglielmo Chianese; 15 September 1921 – 22 June 2003) was a popular Italian singer, guitarist, and songwriter. He was often called "The Voice of Naples".He was born in the commune of Villaricca, near Naples, Italy. At nine years of age, he started attending a school of music. Two years later he was playing clarinet in a local band, which was his first experience as a musician. In 1938 the family moved to Chiaiano, where he started work as a labourer.
In September 1943, while convalescing from the army at home, he heard of the uprising against German troops in Naples. With a number of acquaintances, he joined a group of volunteers to oppose the German army in the vicinity. While returning from an action he was seriously injured in a fire-fight with German soldiers, which left him with a permanent limp. After his release from hospital, he returned to studying music under Vittorio Parisi and had his singing debut at the Royal Theatre in Naples on 14 May 1944.In October 1944 he won a singing competition which resulted in a contract with Radio Naples, where he worked under the guidance of Gino Campese.
In 1948, he married Maria Cerulli. They had four daughters.
Over the following years, he had many successes, both live and recordings. In 1960, he returned to his home in Naples to concentrate on Neapolitan songs. He had a big hit with Carmela (1975), which has since become a classic of the Neapolitan genre, and this was followed up by the album 'a maschera Pulecenella, which led to major television and stage appearances the following year.
In March 2000, he left Naples to join his daughters in Rome. In 2001, he recorded his last song, sung with Lino Blandizzi. He died in hospital in Rome on 22 June 2003.

Nicola Arigliano (6 December 1923 – 30 March 2010) was an Italian jazz singer, musician, and occasional actor. Born in Squinzano, Province of Lecce, at young age he ran away from home because of the humiliations received even by family members due to his stuttering and moved to Turin, where he was hosted by fellow immigrants. He later moved to Milan and later to Rome, where he held several jobs.After studying music theory, learning to play the saxophone and singing as an amateur in several orchestras, Arigliano became first known in 1952 thanks to the participation at the Newport Jazz Festival (at the suggestion of Marshall Brown), which back in Italy got him several television appearances and which gave the way to his professional career. After some 78 rpm released in 1956 for RCA, in 1958 he took part at Canzonissima, and in 1960 he got his first hit with the song "I Sing Ammore", which reached the ninth place on the Italian hit parade. In 1961 he got his major success with the song "Sentimentale", which peaked on first place at the hit parade, while in 1964 he entered the main competition at the Sanremo Music Festival with the song "20 Km Al Giorno".His song Permettete signorina also knows a version in English by Nat King Cole: Cappuccina. In 1968, Arigliano moved to Magliano Sabina and significantly slowed his activities. In 2005 he came back at the Sanremo Music Festival and won the Critics' Award with the song "Colpevole". Arigliano sang in Italian and in English, sometimes playfully mixing the languages.

Umberto Bindi (12 May 1932 – 23 May 2002) was an Italian singer-songwriter. He is especially known for the popular song he co-wrote with Gino Paoli, Il Mio Mondo ("You're My World"), which he recorded in Italian in 1963, and ''La musica è finita'' ("Our Song", recorded by Robert Plant on 45 rpm and then on album Sixty Six to Timbuktu) It was later performed by singers in English and other languages.

Giorgio Gaber (Italian: [ˈdʒordʒo ˈɡaːber]), by name of Giorgio Gaberscik (25 January 1939 – 1 January 2003), was an Italian singer, composer, actor, and playwright. He was also an accomplished guitar player and author of one of the first rock songs in Italian ("Ciao ti dirò", 1958). With Sandro Luporini, he pioneered the musical genre known as teatro canzone ("theatre song").

Giorgio Faletti (Italian pronunciation: [ˈdʒordʒo faˈletti]; 25 November 1950 – 4 July 2014) was an Italian writer, musician, actor and comedian. Born in Asti, Piedmont, he lived on Elba Island. His books have been translated into 25 languages and published with great success in Europe, South America, China, Japan, Russia and the United States.

Alessandro Guido "Alex" Baroni (22 December 1966 – 13 April 2002) was an Italian singer, active between 1994 and 2002. He released four albums during his lifetime. A fifth posthumous record, a tribute album, and two more collections (one of which double, both of them containing previously unreleased material, and his greatest songs) came out after his death in 2002.

He additionally took part in the Sanremo Giovani selection in 1965.In 2016, he was awarded Albanian citizenship due to his close ties with the country and a forename referring to the land.

Ferdinando "Fred" Buscaglione (Italian pronunciation: [ˈfrɛd buskaʎˈʎoːne]; 23 November 1921 – 3 February 1960) was an Italian singer and actor who became very popular in the late 1950s. His public persona – the character he played both in his songs and his movies – was of a humorous mobster with a penchant for whisky and women.
