Kjersti Scheen (born 17 August 1943) is a Norwegian journalist, illustrator, novelist, crime fiction writer and children's writer. She made her literary debut in 1976 with the children's book Fie og mørket. Her novel Teppefall from 1994 introduced a series of crime novels with ex actress "Margaret Moss" as the main character. Scheen was awarded the Gyldendal's Endowment in 1994 (shared with Bjørn Aamodt).Many of her books have been translated into other languages.
Grete Nash (née Helland-Hansen; 14 February 1939 – 20 March 1999) was a Norwegian ceramist.
She was born in Oslo to Eigil Helland-Hansen and Sophie Marie Eeg, and was a granddaughter of oceanographer Bjørn Helland-Hansen. She introduced the Japanese raku ware pottery tradition in Norway. Her wall plate Bysants from 1991 was acquired by the Storting, and she is represented in the National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design, the West Norway Museum of Decorative Art and Sørlandets Art Museum. She was decorated Knight, First Class of the Order of St. Olav in 1998.
Bjørn Ousland (born 14 May 1959) is a Norwegian illustrator, children's writer and comics writer. His breakthrough was the album series Solruns saga from 1988 to 1993. Among his later albums are Mumle Gåsegg from 1999, Soria Moria slott from 2000, and Grimsborken from 2002, all adapted from Norwegian fairy tales. He was awarded the Brage Prize (open class) in 2007, jointly with Jon Ewo.
Rune Egil Kristiansen (born 30 October 1948) was a Norwegian typographer, trade unionist and politician for the Labour Party.
He was born in Oslo as a son of trade unionist Willard Kristiansen (1927–1972) and Kirsten, née Storøy (1926–1989). He finished vocational school in 1966, undertook a three-year apprenticeship in typography and worked as a typographer in Arbeiderbladet from 1969 to 1979 and Verdens Gang from 1979 to 1980. In 1980 he became a national board member of the Norwegian Graphical Union, and in 1984 he became leader of the Norwegian Graphical Union and Oslo Graphical Union. From 1987 he was also a supervisory council member in the Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions, and from 1988 he was a board member of Oslo faglige samorg. He rescinded all positions in 1989 to become an elected politician.Kristensen was elected as a deputy representative to the Parliament of Norway from Oslo during the terms 1989–1993 and 1993–1997. However, he met as a regular representative during seven of the eight years, as a stand-in for Gro Harlem Brundtland who served as Prime Minister; later for Thorbjørn Berntsen who took part in Jagland's Cabinet. In the 1997 Norwegian parliamentary election Kristiansen was finally elected as a full member, and served through 2001.
Ellen Auensen (born 28 June 1944) is a Norwegian illustrator.
She was born in Oslo. She finished her secondary education at Oslo Cathedral School in 1963, and graduated from the Norwegian National Academy of Craft and Art Industry in 1968. In the same year she was hired as an illustrator and political cartoonist in the newspaper Morgenbladet. She was awarded the Narvesen Prize in 1973. She was the only female illustrator to win this award; two men Gösta Hammarlund and Henry Imsland won it in the 1950s. Some of her political cartoons were released as books with writings by Knut Bøckman: Ellen 72: Se Norges blomsterdal (1972), Ellen 73: Mot den evige sne (1973) and Ellen 75: I hine hårde dage (1975).From 1978 to 1990 she lived in Sweden and worked for Sveriges Radio and Swedish publishing houses. After returning to Norway she mainly illustrated book covers after 1990.
Ann Royer is a painter and sculptor living and working in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Her work consists mostly of abstract nudes and horses. She was born in Sioux City, Iowa in 1933.
Annette Corcoran (born 1930) is an American artist who was born in Inglewood, California. She earned a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley in 1952, and continued post-graduate studies at California State University, Long Beach, California Polytechnic State University, Saddleback College, and the College of Marin.She worked as a graphic artist for 15 years before turning to ceramics. She then spent 25 years making ceramic teapots. Although originally functional, they evolved into non-functional works of art.Anhinga, in the collection of the Honolulu Museum of Art, is typical of her teapots, which usually incorporate birds into the design. It is made of hand-built porcelain, employing both underglazes and overglazes. The Everson Museum of Art (Syracuse, New York), the Honolulu Museum of Art, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and the National Museum of Ceramic Art (Baltimore, Maryland), the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and the Racine Art Museum (Racine, Wisconsin) are among the public collections holding work by Annette Corcoran.

David Rakowski (born June 13, 1958, St. Albans, Vermont) is an American composer and typeface designer. He studied under such composers as Robert Ceely, John Heiss, Milton Babbitt, Peter Westergaard, Paul Lansky, and Luciano Berio. In 2006, he was awarded the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center's 2004–2006 Elise L. Stoeger Prize. He has twice been a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Music: in 1999 for Persistent Memory and in 2002 for his second symphony Ten of a Kind.He has released dozens of typefaces since the 1990s, mostly as freeware, which include both original designs and revivals (such as "Lemiesz" – a free version of Publicity Gothic, 1916 – and "Harting", a typewriter face in the "grunge" style.)
