Jacqueline Joubert (29 March 1921 – 8 January 2005), born Jacqueline Annette Édith Pierre, was a French television continuity announcer, producer and director. Alongside Arlette Accart, Joubert was one of the first two in-vision continuity announcers (or speakerines) when television commenced in France after the Second World War.
Raymond Oliver (27 March 1909 – 5 November 1990) was a French chef and owner of Le Grand Véfour restaurant in Paris, one of France's great historical restaurants. Oliver detested nouvelle cuisine, preferring the rich ingredients favored by the chefs in his native Gascony.Oliver, who was born in Langon in the Bordeaux region of France, was the son and grandson of cooks. His maternal grandmother gave him his first instruction in cooking as a boy, and he began his apprenticeship as a chef under his father at the age of 15.
For more than 35 years, he was the owner of Le Grand Vefour on the Rue de Beaujolais in the Palais-Royal district. His celebrity clientele ranged from statesmen like Winston Churchill and Andre Malraux, to writers including Albert Camus and Georges Simenon, to the industrialists and financiers Henry Ford and David Rockefeller. The Aga Khan, and Prince Rainier and Princess Grace of Monaco were among his appreciative clients, as were Jean Cocteau and Colette.
During World War II, Oliver operated a hotel in the French Alps, organized a Resistance cell, and hid Allied airmen who had been shot down on bombing missions. He sheltered an 11-man American bomber crew until the liberation and was later decorated by Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower. In 1948, he purchased Le Grand Vefour, a restaurant dating to 1784. Six years after Oliver bought the restaurant, it was awarded the prized third star by the Michelin Guide (France's atlas to good dining), one of only a handful of kitchens that were so honored at that time.
Oliver published La Cuisine, a detailed technical cookbook, in 1967 and hosted a popular cooking show on television called Art et magie de la cuisine. He also served as one of the eleven judges at the Judgment of Paris.He was mentioned in a 1977 episode of Three's Company when Jack was jealous of Chrissy's date because he met Oliver.
Clémentine Autain (French pronunciation: [klemɑ̃tin otɛ̃]; born 26 May 1973) is a French politician and journalist who has represented the 11th constituency of the Seine-Saint-Denis department in the National Assembly since 2017. She is a member of La France Insoumise (LFI).
Autain is the daughter of singer Yvan Dautin and actress Dominique Laffin. A feminist activist, she is co-editor of the monthly publication Regards with Roger Martelli and co-secretary of the Fondation Copernic, a "circle of reflection" critical of liberalism.
In 2001, Autain was elected to the Council of Paris for the 17th arrondissement with the support of the French Communist Party, where she served one term. As a councillor, she developed the Conseils de la jeunesse de Paris (Youth Councils of Paris). From 2001 to 2008, she held the title of Deputy Mayor of Paris under Bertrand Delanoë tasked with youth affairs. She was a member of the executive council of the Organisme d'habitations à loyer modéré and Offices publics d'aménagement et de construction, organisations responsible for the management of low-cost housing in Paris. In 2014, she was elected to the municipal council of Sevran, where she served again one term.
Autain has served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for the 11th constituency of Seine-Saint-Denis since 2017 as a member of La France Insoumise. She currently holds a position in the Bureau of the National Assembly of the 15th legislature of the French Fifth Republic as a secretary. She has also served as a regional councillor of Île-de-France since 2021, previously holding a seat in the regional council from 2015 until her resignation in 2017 to focus on her work as an MP.

In 1995 Bernard Cerquiglini joined the Oulipo. He was in charge of a governmental studies on a French orthography reform and about national languages in France. He received the title Doctor Honoris Causa at ULIM.
Audrey Pulvar (French pronunciation: [odʁe pylvaʁ]; born 21 February 1972) is a French journalist, television and radio host and politician. Newsreader of the 19/20 on France 3 from 2005 to 2009, Pulvar has been commentator within Laurent Ruquier's show On n'est pas couché on France 2, during the year 2011/2012 and joined the Television Group Canal+ and its channel D8 in 2013.

He is owner and chef of the gourmet restaurant Le Quinzième (1 Michelin star), also of Le Chardenoux, a Parisian bistro located in the 11th arrondissement of Paris, another bistro located in the Saint-Germain des Près district: Aux Prés and two pastry shops La Pâtisserie Cyril Lignac
located in the 11th arrondissement of Paris and in the 16th arrondissement of Paris. Since 2010, his workshop Cuisine Attitude located in the 3rd arrondissement of Paris, had provided cooking and pastry classes. Chef Lignac is also TV presenter for culinary programs on the French television channel M6, and signed a series of more than 40 cook books which sold over 3 million copies.
