James A. Rawley (November 19, 1916 - November 29, 2005) was professor of history emeritus at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. He was a specialist in the American Civil War, American race-relations and the life of Abraham Lincoln. His The Transatlantic Slave Trade: A History (1981) was updated by Stephen D. Behrendt in 2005.
The James A. Rawley Prize (OAH) is given in his memory by the Organization of American Historians for the best book on race relations, and the James A. Rawley Prize (AHA) is given in his memory by the American Historical Association for the best book in Atlantic history.

Thomas Newton Hill, Jr. (June 2, 1927 – April 20, 2009) was an Indian-born American character actor and director on stage for decades before starting in film in the mid-1960s and on television in the 1980s.

Edgar Rice Updegraff (March 1, 1922 – December 23, 2022) was an American amateur golfer and urologist.

Kåre Joachim Calmeyer (23 June 1931 – 26 December 2016) was a Norwegian actor. He was born in Oslo, and grew up in Horten and Tromsø. He was the brother of jazz musician Ola and journalist Bengt Calmeyer.He made his stage debut at Rogaland Teater in 1953 in the opera Don Pasquale. He was employed at Rogaland Teater from 1956 to 1960, at Det Norske Teatret from 1960 to 1964, Nationaltheatret from 1964 to 1972, Den Nationale Scene from 1972 to 1978 and then in Nationaltheatret. He has also appeared in Fjernsynsteatret, and played in Før frostnettene (1966), Lars i porten (1984), Sigurd Drakedreper (1989), Vestavind (1994) and the main role in Kitchen Stories (2003).He was an honorary member of the Norwegian Actors' Equity Association and was decorated as a Knight, First Class of the Order of St. Olav in 2001. In 2012 he was given the Amanda Committee's Honorary Award. Calmeyer died on 26 December 2016 at the age of 85.

Betsy Ann Plank (3 April 1924–23 May 2010) is commonly referred to as the first lady of public relations. In her 63-year-long career, she achieved many first in public relations leadership positions for women.The Arthur W. Page Center for Integrity in Public Communication recognized her as a "PR pioneer... and champion of public relations education". The New York Times referred to her as "a true trailblazer in the field of public relations".

Terkel Nissen Rosenqvist (2 October 1921 – 1 April 2011) was a Norwegian chemist and metallurgist.

Jon Herwig Carlsen (15 April 1937 – 10 April 2022) was a Norwegian sports commentator.
