Norwegian songwriters

Kristin Solli Schøien (born July 14, 1954 in Oslo) is a Norwegian author and composer.
Schøien studied at NLA University College, the University of Oslo, and the Norwegian Academy of Music. She is especially known for her hymnwriting.
Schøien lives in Eidskog and was previously employed as a lecturer at the Norwegian School of Theology. She also became known for the cabaret show Jeg synger min sang for vinden (I Sing My Song to the Wind), which sets to music poetry by Herman Wildenvey. It was first staged in 1990, and later in many places throughout Norway. A CD with the same title was later issued.

Hilde Heltberg (30 September 1959 – 4 September 2011) was a Norwegian singer, guitarist and songwriter, born in Oslo, Norway.

Arne Berggren (born 26 October 1960) is a Norwegian novelist, children's writer, songwriter and rock musician. He made his literary debut in 1991. In 1992 he published Stillemannen, which was awarded the Critics Prize for the year's best children's or youth's literature. Among his novels are Instamatic from 1994 and Webers lov from 1998.Øystein Rottem characterizes Berggren's writing style as laidback, with elements of black humour. His books for children and young adults treat themes such as young love, eroticism and jealousy. Berggren established a film production hub, Shuuto Arctic, at FilmCamp Nord, a former military base in Målselv. Shuuto Arctic's first production was The River (2017) and was followed by Outlier (2020).

Trond Granlund (born in Oslo, Norway, on 29 July 1950) is a Norwegian rock and folk singer, composer and guitarist.
Granlund grew up on Torshov and Manglerud in Oslo, and has lived in Lørenskog since 1968. He started performing in 1973, releasing the independent Rock album. He released his first solo album, Trond Granlund, in 1976 and has been prolific in releasing of albums. Until the mid-1990s, most of his output was in English, but with the album Tida er'e ingen som kan snu in 1995, he started to release albums almost exclusively in Norwegian.An autobiographical album, På vei til rock 'n roll (meaning "on the road to rock'n'roll"), was released in 2001. An autobiographical book was published in 2012 titled and his next book coming time, the Council in 2007. In 2012, he published his book Sanger jeg lærte av mamma og pappa (meaning "songs I learned from my mom and dad"). He is married and have one daughter and three sons.

Eivind Rølles (15 March 1959 Bestum in Oslo — 18 March 2013) was a Norwegian musician (guitar) best known for his time with pop duo The Monroes. prior to this, he was a member of the bands Broadway News and PVC.
