Riccardo Tolentino was an Italian actor and film director of the silent era. He directed the 1917 Pushkin adaptation Wanda Warenine. In 1918, the same year of J. Searle Dawley's Uncle Tom's Cabin, he directed the Italian version La capanna dello zio Tom, with Paola Pezzaglia.

Memè_Perlini

Amelio "Memè" Perlini (8 December 1947 – 5 April 2017) was an Italian actor and film director. His directorial debut, Italian Postcards, was screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 1987 Cannes Film Festival.He directed Teatro La Maschera, of Rome, in his theatrical adaptation of Raymond Roussel's Locus Solus at La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club in New York City in April 1977. The production was co-presented by La MaMa and the International Theatre Institute, and billed as the First International Theater Festival.Perlini died in Rome on 5 April 2017, at the age of 69. He seems to have committed suicide by jumping from the fifth floor of his house.

Gabriellino_D'Annunzio

Gabriele Maria "Gabriellino" D'Annunzio (10 April 1886 – 8 December 1945) was an Italian actor, screenwriter and film director. He was the son of the Italian writer Gabriele D'Annunzio. He adapted the 1921 film The Ship from a novel by his father. In 1924 he co-directed the epic Quo Vadis with Georg Jacoby, but the project was a commercial failure and he retired from filmmaking. He died on 8 December 1945 at 59 years old, due to a disease that afflicted him.

Giulio Donadio (5 July 1889 – 15 June 1951) was an Italian actor and film director. Donadio appeared in over forty films between 1912 and 1947, including the historical melodrama Red Passport (1935). He also directed several films during the silent era.
