French film score composers

Éric Serra (French: [eʁik sɛʁa]; born 9 September 1959) is a French composer. He is a frequent collaborator of film director Luc Besson.

Claude Bolling (10 April 1930 – 29 December 2020) was a French jazz pianist, composer, arranger, and occasional actor.

Frédéric Talgorn (born 2 July 1961 in Toulouse, France) is a French composer for film and television.
He studied music at the Conservatoire de Paris where his teachers included Sabine Lacoraet and Yvonne Loriod, but he completed his studies on his own. In 1987 he moved to the United States where he began to compose film music. He also wrote the official music to accompany the Olympic flame for the 1992 Winter Olympic Games. Notable film scores include Edge of Sanity (1989), Delta Force 2: The Colombian Connection (1990), Robot Jox (1990), Fortress (1992) and The Temp (1993). He also has an extensive catalogue of concert music, and has often conducted his own works in concert and recording sessions. He has also conducted and recorded film scores of others with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra.

Maurice Jaubert (3 January 1900 – 19 June 1940) was a prolific French composer who scored some of the most important films of the early sound era in France, including Jean Vigo’s Zero for Conduct and L'Atalante, and René Clair’s Quatorze Juillet and Le Dernier Milliardaire. Serving in both world wars, he died in action during World War II at the age of 40.

Roger Désormière (French pronunciation: [ʁɔʒe dezɔʁmjɛːʁ]) (13 September 1898 – 25 October 1963) was a French conductor. He was an enthusiastic champion of contemporary composers, but also conducted performances of early eighteenth century French music.
