Alex Golden Oblad (November 26, 1909 – September 19, 2000) was a prominent chemist and chemical engineer principally recognized for his pioneering work in catalysis and catalytic chemistry.

Melvin Alonzo Cook (October 10, 1911 – October 12, 2000) was an American chemist, most known from his work in explosives, including the development of shaped charges and slurry explosives. Cook was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Johan Ernst Fredrik Føyn (28 March 1904 – 2 November 1984) was a Norwegian chemist and oceanographer. He was born in Kristiania. He was assigned professor of oceanography at the University of Oslo from 1964. His research centered on radioactivity of ocean waters, and on pollution of the oceans. He designed a method for electrolytic cleaning of sewage.

Erik Andreas Rotheim (19 September 1898 – 18 September 1938) was a Norwegian professional chemical engineer and inventor. He is best known for invention of the first aerosol spray can and valve that could hold and dispense fluids.

Harald Arnljot Øye (born 1 February 1935) is a Norwegian chemist.
He took the dr.techn. degree in 1963. He was a professor of inorganic chemistry at the Norwegian Institute of Technology from 1973 to his retirement. He has also led the International Course on Process Metallurgy of Aluminium since 1981. He is a fellow of the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters and the Norwegian Academy of Technological Sciences. In November 2016, FLOGEN Star Outreach awarded him with the Fray International Sustainability Award at SIPS 2016 (Sustainable Industrial Processing Summit), in Hainan Island, China.

Anne-Sofie Østvedt (later married Strømnæs) (2 January 1920 – 16 November 2009) was one of the leaders of the Norwegian intelligence organisation XU.
She started her resistance work by publishing underground newspapers, and in December 1941 XU recruited her. The Gestapo began hunting her in the autumn of 1942, and she had to live undercover for the rest of the war.
Despite her young age, she was vital to the organisation and was second in command, but her identity was a strict secret and almost none within the XU knew her. Since one of her cover names was "Aslak" - a male name in Norway - it was a huge surprise for many to meet her after the war was over.
After the end of the war she received a scholarship and from the summer of 1945 she studied chemistry at the University of California, Berkeley, graduated with a master's degree and then returned to Norway in 1951. Studying with her in California was the leader of XU, Øistein Strømnæs, whom she married.

Tor Tank-Nielsen (9 July 1918 – 8 March 2010) was a Norwegian businessperson.He was born in Kristiania. He studied chemical engineering and graduated in 1940. In 1941 he was hired in the company M. Peterson & Søn, and after a series of promotions he became CEO in 1981.He is one of two honorary members in the Industrial Association of the city of Moss, the other one being Erik Mollatt.

Thorburn Brailsford Robertson (4 March 1884 – 18 January 1930), generally known as Brailsford Robertson, was an Australian physiologist and biochemist.
