German male silent film actors

Erich Ziegel (26 August 1876 – 30 November 1950) was a German theatre director and actor. He appeared in more than forty films from 1920 to 1950. He was the founder of the Hamburg Kammerspiele.

Otto Treßler, also Otto Tressler, (13 April 1871 – 27 April 1965) was a German-Austrian stage and film actor. He appeared in more than 40 films between 1915 and 1962. He was born in Stuttgart, Germany and died in Vienna, Austria. He was a close friend to Archduchess Maria Josepha of Austria.

Aribert Mog (3 August 1904 – 2 October 1941) was a German film actor who played in a mixture of leading and supporting roles during the 1930s. He was a member of the Militant League for German Culture and the National Socialist Factory Cell Organization. In May 1940 he was called up for military service and died fighting on the Eastern Front with the Infantry Regiment 9 Potsdam the following year.

Hans Kuhnert (4 January 1901 – 29 July 1974) was a German actor, art director and production designer. Kuhnert began his career as an actor during the silent era. He played the lead alongside Olga Tschechowa in Violet. From the mid-1930s Kuhnert switched to working on the visual design of film sets. He worked frequently at this into the 1960s. He was sometimes credited as Hanns H. Kuhnert.

Harry Halm (born Harry Hermann Hahn; 17 January 1901 – 22 November 1980) was a German film actor.
He was the son of director Alfred Halm and took acting lessons with Eduard von Winterstein and Hermann Vallentin. He began his stage career in 1919 at the Schauspielhaus in Potsdam. After the Nazis seized power in 1933, the Jewish Harry Halm could not take part in further films.

Curt Bois (born Kurt Boas; April 5, 1901 – December 25, 1991) was a German actor with a career spanning over 80 years. He is best remembered for his performances as the pickpocket in Casablanca (1942) and the poet Homer in Wings of Desire (1987).

Paul Graetz (8 August 1889 – 16 February 1937) was a German actor and star of the Weimar cabaret.

Hugo Döblin (29 October 1876 – 4 November 1960) was a German stage and film actor. He appeared in more than eighty films, most of them during the silent era. The Jewish Döblin left Germany following the Nazi Party's rise to power in 1933, and after moving first to Czechoslovakia and Austria, eventually settled in Switzerland. His younger brother was novelist, essayist, and doctor Alfred Döblin (1878–1957).

Max Davidson (May 23, 1875 – September 4, 1950) was a German-American film actor known for his comedic Jewish persona during the silent film era. With a career spanning over thirty years, Davidson appeared in over 180 films.

Heinrich Felix Erich Kaiser-Titz (7 October 1875 – 22 November 1928) was a German stage and film actor.
