Georges_Carpentier

Georges Carpentier (French pronunciation: [ʒɔʁʒ kaʁ.pɑ̃ˈtje]; 12 January 1894 – 28 October 1975) was a French boxer, actor and World War I pilot.
A precocious pugilist, Carpentier fought in numerous categories. He fought mainly as a light heavyweight and heavyweight in a career lasting from 1908 to 1926. A French professional champion on several occasions, he became the European heavyweight champion before the First World War. A sergeant aviator during the Great War, he was wounded before returning to civilian life. He then discovered rugby union, playing as a winger.
On his return to the ring in 1919, "le grand Georges" ("the great Georges" in English) he was celebrated as a symbol of a sporting powerhouse France, via performances in Great Britain and the United States of America. His knockout victory over Battling Levinsky on 12 October 1920 in Jersey City in the United States earned him the title of world champion. A defeat by Jack Dempsey the following year nevertheless strengthened his legend and brought him worldwide fame. This defeat marked the decline of his career, punctuated by the controversial loss of his titles to Battling Siki.
Nicknamed the "Orchid Man", he stood 5 feet 11+1⁄2 inches (182 cm) and his fighting weight ranged from 147 to 175 pounds (67 to 79 kg).Later notable performances included a defeat by Gene Tunney. Carpentier ended his career in 1926, but remained a leading figure in French boxing. Appointed ambassador for French sport abroad after the Second World War, in which he took part in the French Air Force, Carpentier died of a heart attack in 1975. A decade after his death, the Parisian Sports Arena in the 13th arrondissement of Paris was renamed Halle Georges-Carpentier after him. Along with Marcel Cerdan, he remains one of France's best boxers.

Primo Carnera (Italian pronunciation: [ˈpriːmo karˈnɛːra]; 26 October 1906 – 29 June 1967), nicknamed the Ambling Alp, was an Italian professional boxer and wrestler who reigned as the boxing World Heavyweight Champion from 29 June 1933 to 14 June 1934. He won more fights by knockout than any other heavyweight champion (IBU, NBA, NYSAC) in boxing history.

Valentino_Manfredonia

Valentino Manfredonia (born 29 September 1989) is a Brazilian-born Italian professional boxer. As an amateur he competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in the men's light heavyweight event, in which he was eliminated in the first round by Mikhail Dauhaliavets of Belarus.

Erling_Havnå

Erling Mathias Havnå (born 2 November 1957) of Arendal, Norway, is a former kickboxer and convicted criminal.
In 2005, Erling Havnå was charged and prosecuted for participating in the NOKAS armed robbery of 2004, together with David Toska and twelve other men. On 10 March 2006 the Stavanger court of law sentenced Havnå to 17 years of imprisonment for this felony. This was later reduced to 14 years. One police officer was shot and killed in the robbery.
Havnå won a silver medal in full-contact at the W.A.K.O. European Championships 1979 and stepped up to be the European Champion in 1980. Eleven years later, in 1991, he won the silver medal in the World Championship. With his fifth degree black belt, acquired in 2003, Erling Havnå is the highest ranked Norwegian kickboxer of all time. He is the brother of former professional boxer Magne Havnå.

Kui Kong Young fought Jackie Wilson in two straight fight in Australia. Kui Kong Young lost both fights. The first fight he lost by DQ. The second fight he lost by decision. Kui Kong Young fought Little Dado three times. The first fight Kui Kong Young won by decision at the Honolulu Stadium. The second fight David won again by decision at the Honolulu Stadium. The third fight was for the World Bantamweight Title only recognized by the Hawaiian Territorial Boxing Commission and David won again this time by TKO at the Honolulu Stadium. Kui Kong Young defended the World Bantamweight Title against Manuel Ortiz. Ortiz won by split decision in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Johnny_Hill

Johnny Hill (14 December 1905 – 27 September 1929) was a Scottish boxer who was British flyweight champion from May 1927, European champion from March 1928, and World champion from August 1928, until his death at the age of 23. He was the first Scottish boxer to win a world title.

Raúl_Márquez

Raúl Márquez (born August 28, 1971) is an American former professional boxer who competed from 1992 to 2008. He held IBF junior middleweight title between April and December 1997. Márquez also represented the U.S. at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona.
