Luciano_Huck

Luciano Grostein Huck (born 3 September 1971) is a Brazilian TV host and entrepreneur. From 2000 to 2021, he hosted the TV show Caldeirão do Huck, aired every Saturday on Brazilian network TV Globo, and also broadcast to 114 countries, via Globo International. In september 2021, Huck left his saturday show to host Domingão com Huck (former Domingão do Faustão) on Sundays.Huck is also the founder of Joá Investments, an investment fund focused on technology and lifestyle start-up companies, that only makes partnerships with companies committed with sustainability and with the preservation of the environment. Among Joá's investments, there are Cataratas, that focus on sustainable tourism, Tembici, a bike-sharing and bike-parking system, and also Agrade Investments that works with start-ups in the USA.

Sandra_Annenberg

Sandra Annenberg (born 5 June 1968, in São Paulo) is a Brazilian newscaster.
Since 1982, Sandra has worked for Globo TV, the largest commercial TV network in Brazil, with over 150 million Portuguese speaking viewers in more than 130 countries.
Sandra was anchor and executive editor at the “Jornal Hoje” (“Today”) lunchtime news, the second most viewed news bulletin in Brazil until September 2019. Since then, Annenberg is the newscaster of the prestigious weekly news-documentary show "Globo Repórter", aired every Friday evening to one of the largest audiences in Brazil.
After a successful early career as an actress, she went back to college for a Journalism degree at Faculdades Metropolitanas Unidas, FMU, in São Paulo.
She has been assigned to cover many important national and international events like FIFA's World Cups in Germany-2006, South Africa-2010, Brazil-2014 and Russia-2018. She also covered the Atlanta-96 Olympic Games.
Awarded best anchorwoman in Brazil several times, she is widely recognized as one of the main TV journalists in the country.

Marcelo_Fromer

Marcelo Fromer (December 3, 1961 – June 13, 2001) was the guitarist of Brazilian rock band Titãs. One of the founding members and also the band's manager, he died in 2001, after being hit by a motorcycle while jogging.

Aron_Simis

Aron Simis is a mathematician born in Recife, Brazil in 1942. He is a full professor at the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco, Brazil, and Class A research scholarship recipient from the Brazilian Research Council. He earned his PhD from Queen's University, Canada.He has previously held a full professorship at IMPA (Instituto de Matemática Pura e Applicada) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He was president of the Brazilian Mathematical Society and member on several occasions of international commissions of the IMU (International Mathematical Union) and TWAS (Academy of Sciences for the Developing World).He has been director of three workshops in his field at the ICTP (Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics). In Brazil he is a recipient of the National Medal for Scientific Merit at the order of Grã-Cruz and a member of the Brazilian Research Group in Commutative Algebra and Algebraic Geometry (1997–2007).At large he is a John Simon Guggenheim Fellow and has been awarded other fellowships from the Max Planck Institute, Japan Society for Promotion of Science, and the Istituto Nazionale di Alta Matematica. He is a member both of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences and the Academy of Sciences for the Developing World (Trieste, Italy).His main research interests in mathematics include: main structures in commutative algebra; projective varieties in algebraic geometry; aspects of algebraic combinatorics; special graded algebras; foundations of Rees algebras; cremona and birational maps; algebraic vector fields; differential methods.Simis is of Romanian origin, his parents immigrated to Brazil from Romania in the 1920s.
