Jefferson Antonio Galves (18 June 1947 – 5 September 2023) was a Brazilian mathematician, professor of the Institute of Mathematics and Statistics of the University of São Paulo (USP) and member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences. His field of studies was related to statistical models, in particular models that have stochasticity and variable range of memory. Galves was also the leader of NeuroMat, a research center established in 2013 at USP that is dedicated to integrating mathematical modeling and theoretical neuroscience.

Boris_Fausto

Boris Fausto (December 8, 1930 – April 18, 2023) was a Brazilian historian, political scientist and writer.
During his career, he carried out studies on the political history of Brazil in the republican period, about mass immigration to Brazil, crime and criminality in São Paulo and authoritarian thinking.One of his main works is Revolução de 1930 - historiografia e história (The 1930 Revolution - historiography and history), first published in 1970, in which he confronts visions that defend the state of São Paulo during the 1930 revolution and the subsequent 1932 Constitutionalist Revolution.

César_Camacho

César Leopoldo Camacho Manco (born 15 April 1943 in Lima, Peru), better known as simply César Camacho, is a Peruvian-born Brazilian mathematician and former director of the IMPA. His area of research is dynamical systems theory.Camacho earned his Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley in 1971 under the supervision of Stephen Smale.He is a member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences and a recipient of 1996 TWAS Prize.
