Donald Arld Veller (May 20, 1912 – November 10, 2006) was an American football player and coach of football and golf. He served as the head football coach at Hanover College in 1946 and at Florida State University from 1948 to 1952, compiling a career college football record of 35–15–1. Veller died at the age of 94 on November 10, 2006, in Tallahassee, Florida.
Robert Stormont Anderson "Stormy" Pfohl (May 21, 1926 – May 11, 1996) was an American football player who played at the back position.
A native of Vincennes, Indiana, he attended Goshen High School and then played college football for the United States Merchant Marine Academy and the Purdue Boilermakers.He was selected by the New York Giants in the seventh round (46th overall pick) of the 1948 NFL Draft. He opted instead to play in the All-America Football Conference (AAFC) for the Baltimore Colts during the 1948 and 1949 seasons. He appeared in a total of 26 AAFC games, 21 as a starter. In one of his first pro games, he scored three touchdowns, including a 92-yard punt return.After retiring as a player, he served as head football coach at Marion High School in 1950 and 1951. He also worked for the Bell Fibre Corp for 30 years, retiring in 1980 as vice president of sales. He was inducted into the Indiana Football Hall of Fame in 1986. He died in 1996 at age 69.
Victor P. Dauer (April 14, 1909 – September 30, 2000) was an American football and baseball coach and college athletics administrator. He served as the head football and head baseball coach at Valparaiso University during the 1941–42 academic year.
Dauer was born on April 14, 1909, in Hammond, Indiana. He graduated from Emerson High School in Gary, Indiana. He played college football and college basketball at Indiana University Bloomington.Dauer served as an officer in the United States Army during World War II. He was an assistant coach for the 1943 Camp Davis Fighting AA's football team and was head coach of Camp Davis's basketball team in 1943–44.In 1947, he was appointed assistant professor and assistant athletic director Springfield College in Springfield, Massachusetts. In 1949, he moved to Washington State University as an assistant professor in the Men's Physical Education Department. Dauer earned a PhD in education from the University of Michigan in 1951.
Jim Hinga (December 19, 1923 – March 10, 2002) was an American college basketball coach. Hinga coached Ball State University from 1954 to 1968 and compiled a 154–169 career mark, which is still a school record for victories. He also was an assistant football and track coach and Ball State's manager of physical education and athletic facilities and services from 1969 to 1981.
