Mexican silent film actresses

Mona Goya (25 November 1909 – 8 October 1961) was a Mexican-born French film actress who rose to fame in the 1930s.

Emma Padilla (March 8, 1900 – July 2, 1966) was Mexico's first film star.She was noted for her resemblance to, and copying the mannerisms of, Italian film star Pina Menichelli, particularly in La luz (1917), which was essentially a copy of the successful Italian film Il Fuoco (1915) starring Menichelli.

Elena Sánchez Valenzuela (2 March 1900 – 30 September 1950) was a Mexican actress, journalist and creator of the Mexican film archive. One of her country’s first silent film stars, she was also a feminist and suffragette.
