Samuel_R._Quiñones

Samuel Ramón Quiñones Quiñones (October 29, 1903 – March 11, 1976) commonly known as Samuel R. Quiñones was a prominent attorney in Puerto Rico who served as Speaker of the House of Representatives of Puerto Rico from 1941 to 1943 and for twenty years in the Senate of Puerto Rico as its fifth President, from 1949 to 1968, by far the longest serving Senate President. He is also the only person to hold both posts.

Carl_Ferdinand_Gjerdrum_(barrister)

Carl Ferdinand Gjerdrum (9 April 1898 – 9 February 1945) was a Norwegian jurist and resistance member.
He was born in Kristiania as a son of Albert Gjerdrum and Olivia Kloumann. He was a grandson of Carl Ferdinand Gjerdrum, grandnephew of Jørgen Gjerdrum and Otto Gjerdrum and great-grandson of Ole Gjerdrum. In 1926 in Lillehammer he married Aase Filseth, of Danish descent, a sister of Tyge and Kaare Filseth.
By occupation Carl Ferdinand Gjerdrum was a barrister, a lawyer with access to Supreme Court cases, like his father. The law firm was named A. Gjerdrum og C. F. Gjerdrum, and had its offices in the Oslo's main street Karl Johans gate.During the occupation of Norway by Nazi Germany he was involved in a broad spectrum of work for the Norwegian resistance movement. He supplied resistance members with faux passports and helped them cross the border to neutral Sweden, he was involved in intelligence gathering, in the illegal press and with unveiling Norwegian denouncers. When the Nazi police leader Karl Marthinsen was assassinated by the Norwegian resistance on 8 February 1945, Gjerdrum was arrested together with thirty-three others, including Kaare Sundby, Haakon Sæthre and Jon Vislie, as a reprisal. At Akershus Fortress Gjerdrum was executed by gunshot on 9 February.

Erik_Willoch

Erik Willoch (19 December 1922 – 5 August 1991) was a Norwegian jurist and civil servant.
Born in Oslo as a brother of Kåre Willoch, he graduated as cand.jur. in 1948. He worked at the University of Oslo from 1950 to 1956, and then in the Office of the Attorney General of Norway from 1957. He was the director of the Norwegian Civil Aviation Administration from 1964 to 1989.

Rolf_Presthus

Rolf Presthus (29 July 1936 – 1 January 1988) was a Norwegian politician and lawyer, who was chairman of the Norwegian Conservative Party from 1986 to 1988.
Presthus served as Minister of Finance 1981–1986, and Minister of Defence in 1986. He was a member of parliament from Akershus from 1969 to 1988, and mayor of Oppegård from 1968 to 1969.At the Conservative party conference in 1987 he became the first Norwegian politician to use a teleprompter during a speech. He received widespread criticism and accusations, both for cheating and contributing to the Americanization of Norwegian politics.Presthus died in Oslo at the age of 51 on 1 January 1988, due to a cerebral hemorrhage.
