Marie Camille Armand de La Forgue de Bellegarde (29 March 1841 – 23 October 1905) was a French military officer and horse rider and instructor.
La Forgue de Bellegarde joined the French Army in 1860, enrolling at the École spéciale militaire de Saint-Cyr. Upon graduation, he was commissioned as a junior officer in the 2nd Chasseurs Regiment, becoming a lieutenant in 1968. Following the Franco-Prussian War, during which he was captured and taken prisoner, he became an instructor at Saint-Cyr, where he rose to the rank of général de brigade. He retired in 1904.Among his many honours, La Forgue de Bellegarde was appointed a Commandeur of the Legion d'Honneur, and Officier d'Académie, and commander of the Russian Order of St. Stanislaus.Bellegarde was born in Gap on 29 March 1841, the son of politician Calixte Joseph Camille de La Forgue de Bellegarde. He was married and had two sons. On 23 October 1905, he suffered a stroke and died at his home in Cellettes.Some sources report that La Forgue de Bellegarde competed in the equestrian events at the 1900 Olympic Games, finishing third in the long jump.

Emmanuel de Blommaert de Soye (15 October 1875 – 12 April 1944) was a Belgian horse rider who competed in the 1912 and 1920 Summer Olympics. In 1912 he won the bronze medal in the individual jumping competition, riding Clomore, and finished sixths with the Belgian team in the team jumping event. In the individual dressage competition he was 21st. In the individual eventing contest he was disqualified in the cross country ride, and the Belgian team was unplaced in the team eventing competition, when none of their riders were able to finish.Eight years later he and his horse Grizzly finished eleventh in the individual dressage event.

Jacques Cariou (23 September 1870 – 7 October 1951) was a French show jumping champion. Cariou participated at the 1912 Summer Olympics held in Stockholm, where he won a gold medal in the individual jumping, a silver medal in team jumping with the horse Mignon, and a bronze medal in individual three-day eventing with the horse Cocotte.

Daniel Ephrem Bouckaert (17 May 1894 – 26 December 1965) was a Belgian vaulter who competed in the 1920 Summer Olympics. In 1920 he won the gold medal in the individual vaulting competition as well as in the team vaulting event.

Pierre Louis Marie Bertran de Balanda (28 September 1887 – 28 March 1946) was a French horse rider who competed in the 1928 Summer Olympics.
He was born in Toulouse and died in Marseille.
In 1928, he and his horse Papillon won the silver medal in the individual jumping competition. They also finished fourth as part of the French jumping team in the team jumping competition.

Willy Vanden Berghen (3 July 1939 – 30 March 2022) was a Belgian professional road bicycle racer. In 1960 he won two bronze medals in the road race, one at the amateur world championships and the other at the Olympic Games.

Michel Vaarten (born 17 January 1957) is a retired track cyclist and road bicycle racer from Belgium. He represented Belgium at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, where he won silver medal in the 1.000m time trial behind East Germany's Klaus-Jürgen Grünke. Vaarten was a professional from 1979 to 1992. He won 12 national titles, one European title and one world title, mainly in track cycling. Vaarten is currently piloting a Derny bike in many Six Day Cycling events around Europe.
After his competitive career, he served as a pacemaker.

Leo Sterckx (16 July 1936 – 4 March 2023) was a Belgian cyclist. He competed for Belgium at the 1960 Summer Olympics held in Rome, Italy in the individual sprint event where he finished in second place.Sterckx died on 4 March 2023, at the age of 86.
