Augustin Mouchot (; French: [muʃo]; 7 April 1825 – 4 October 1912) was a 19th-century French inventor of the earliest solar-powered engine, converting solar energy into mechanical steam power.

John (Johann) Grün, also known as Herkul Grün (1868–1912), a Luxembourger from Mondorf-les-Bains was believed to be the strongest man in the world at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century.

Adelchi Negri (16 July 1876 – 19 February 1912) was an Italian pathologist and microbiologist born in Perugia.
He studied medicine and surgery at the University of Pavia, where he was a pupil of Camillo Golgi (1843–1926). After graduation in 1900, he became an assistant to Golgi at his pathological institute. In 1909 Negri became a professor of bacteriology, and the first official instructor of bacteriology in Pavia. On 19 February 1912 he died of tuberculosis at age 35.
Negri performed extensive research in the fields of histology, hematology, cytology, protozoology and hygiene. In 1903 he discovered the eponymous Negri bodies, defined as cytoplasmatic inclusion bodies located in the Purkinje cells of the cerebellum in cases of rabies in animals and humans. He documented his findings in an article titled Contributo allo studio dell'eziologia della rabbia, published in the journal Bollettino della Società medico-chirurgica. At the time, Negri mistakenly described the pathological agent of rabies as a parasitic protozoa. A few months later, Paul Remlinger (1871–1964) at the Constantinople Imperial Bacteriology Institute correctly demonstrated that the aetiological agent of rabies was not a protozoan, but a filterable virus.
Negri went on, however, to demonstrate in 1906 that the smallpox vaccine, then known as "vaccine virus", or "variola vaccinae", was also a filterable virus. During the latter part of his career, he became interested in malaria and was at the forefront in efforts to eradicate it from Lombardy. In 1906 he married his colleague Lina Luzzani and six years later, at the age of thirty-five, died of tuberculosis.

Albert Bythesea Weigall CMG, (16 February 1840 – 20 February 1912) was an English-born Australian schoolmaster, headmaster of Sydney Grammar School for 45 years.

Ferdinand Monoyer (9 May 1836 – 11 July 1912) was a French ophthalmologist, known for introducing the dioptre in 1872.
He invented the Monoyer chart, used to test visual acuity. He inserted his name in the random letters of the chart. It appears when one reads vertically from bottom to top on each side.

Hélène Casimir-Perier (1854–1912) was the wife of Jean Casimir-Perier, who was the President of France from 1894 to 1895.

Léon Gandillot (20-25 January 1862 – 21 September 1912) was a French playwright.
Gandillot was the nephew of the librettist and dramatist Hector Crémieux. In 1886, his first comédie en vaudeville Les Femmes collantes gave him the opportunity to be known very quickly. He later gained other successes with comedies such as La Mariée récalcitrante, La Course aux jupons, and Ferdinand le noceur. Two of these plays have until now been adapted to film: Les Femmes collantes twice, in 1919 by Georges Monca and in 1938 by Pierre Caron as well as Ferdinand le noceur in 1934 by René Sti.

Józef Wieniawski (23 May 1837 – 11 November 1912) was a Polish pianist, composer, conductor and teacher. He was born in Lublin, the younger brother of the famous violinist Henryk Wieniawski. After Franz Liszt, he was the first pianist to publicly perform all the études by Chopin. He appeared with Liszt in recitals in Paris, London, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Brussels, Leipzig and Amsterdam.Although now neglected, Józef Wieniawski enjoyed a reputation as one of Europe's finest musicians. Near the end of his life, a journalist asked him how long he intended to serve music. He replied: "As long as I remain young!"

Salvador Brau y Asencio (January 11, 1842 – November 5, 1912) was a Puerto Rican journalist, poet, dramatist, novelist, historian, and sociologist. He was designated the official historian of Puerto Rico by the first American-appointed governor of the island.

Manuel Pardiñas Serrano (1880 or 1887 – 12 November 1912) was a Spanish anarchist who assassinated José Canalejas, the Prime Minister of Spain. Pardiñas shot Canalejas in front of the San Martín Library in Madrid on 12 November 1912. Pardiñas then turned the gun on himself and committed suicide. However, this story has possible inconstencies because his body had two shots to the head. He was reportedly from the town of El Grado in the province of Huesca.
