Jorge_Rossi_Chavarría

Jorge Rossi Chavarría (January 25, 1922 – January 3, 2006) was a Costa Rican politician. He was a lawyer, businessman. He co-founded the National Liberation Party (PLN) with Jose Figueres. He was Vice President of Costa Rica from 1970 to 1974 and representative from 1986 to 1990.
Rossi was the son of José Monge and Chavarría Amalia Flores. At age 15, was national champion chess second category (1937). He earned a degree in law at the University of Costa Rica and joined the Bar Association on June 12, 1945. He served as president of the Graduate Student Council. During the Revolution of 1948, and his brothers Alvaro and Hernán joined the revolutionary army known Caribbean Legion.
He was a professor at the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Costa Rica. During the years 1947 and 1948, he served as legal advisor to the Costa Rican Confederation of Workers of Rerum novarum. He co-founded the National Liberation Party (PLN) in 1951.
He served as Minister of Economy and Finance during the second term of Figueres Ferrer (1953 to 1956). He was the president of the Central Bank of Costa Rica from November 1970 to May 1971.As an entrepreneur, founded the company customs Corman, one of the most important of the country and was one of the main drivers of banana production.
In 2002, he published " La traición de los leales " - under the auspices of the UNED - an autobiography where he recounted his life throughout the twentieth century.
In his private life was supernumerary of the Personal prelature of Opus Dei. He was involved in social work, promoting projects to provide land and housing for farmers and workers. The exact scope of its social work is unknown, since he always tried to remain anonymous. As the newspaper Nacion stated the day after his death, he will be remembered as "the patriot" in business and government circles and among his friends, "because of his great contribution to the nation's development."He had three children from his first marriage to Virginia Umaña Volio.
Jorge Rossi Chavarria died of a heart attack at the age of 84.

Edwin_Donayre

General Edwin Donayre (born January 8, 1952) is a Peruvian politician, a former Congressman and a retired military officer who is wanted by the police on corruption charges.
Donayre previously served as Commanding General of the Peruvian Army, commander of the Center Military Region, the Southern Military Region, and the 2nd Infantry Brigade. He assumed the role of commanding general on December 5, 2006, replacing General César Reinoso, who resigned amid accusations of corruption. During his tenure, Donayre was accused of corruption and obstructing inquiries into human rights violations. He was also at the center of an international controversy when a video surfaced in the media showing him making anti-Chilean remarks at a private party. He retired on December 5, 2008, and was replaced by General Otto Guibovich.

Elizabeth_Guzmán

Elizabeth Rosalina Guzmán is a Peruvian-American politician and social worker who represented Virginia's 31st House of Delegates district in Virginia's House of Delegates. She served on the House committees on Privileges and Elections and Cities, Counties, and Towns. Guzman was a Democratic candidate for Virginia Lieutenant Governor in 2021.
She was an unsuccessful candidate to represent Virginia's 29th Senate district, failing to unseat incumbent Jeremy McPike.
Guzman was Virginia co-chair of the Bernie Sanders 2020 presidential campaign. In June 2020, Guzman was elected at the Democratic Party of Virginia State Convention to represent the Commonwealth of Virginia at the DNC.

George_Hampel_(politician)

George F. L. Hampel, Sr., (August 27, 1885 – May 15, 1954) was an American politician, accountant and bookseller from Milwaukee who served one term in the Wisconsin State Assembly as a Socialist (1931–1932) and two terms in the Wisconsin State Senate as a Progressive (1937–1944). Hampel at various times identified himself as a Social Democrat/Socialist, and Progressive; and joined the Republicans when the Progressives rejoined the latter party.

Dennis William Egan (March 3, 1947 – June 28, 2022) was an American politician who was a member of the Alaska Senate representing Juneau from April 19, 2009, until January 15, 2019. A member of the Democratic Party, he previously served as the mayor of Juneau from February 13, 1995, to October 3, 2000, and was a member of the local assembly prior to that. Outside of politics, he was known for his work as a radio broadcaster, most notably for KINY, and was inducted to the Alaskan Broadcaster Association's Hall of Fame in 2001.

A member of the Republican Party, he is the founder of King Capital LLC, an equity investment and real estate company. He previously worked at the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) as an agent and campaigned unsuccessfully in 1988 for his party's nomination for the U.S. Senate in Wisconsin. During the Nixon administration, while working for the Committee for the Re-Election of the President, King was involved in the kidnapping of Martha Mitchell, the wife of the then-Attorney General.
