Günter Raphael (30 April 1903 – 19 October 1960) was a German composer. Born in Berlin, Raphael was the grandson of composer Albert Becker. His first symphony was premiered by Wilhelm Furtwängler in 1926 in Leipzig with the Gewandhaus Orchestra. From 1926 to 1934 he taught in Leipzig, but illness and the rise of Fascism – he was declared a "half-Jew" – made this difficult for him. He received the Franz Liszt Award for composition in 1948. His students include Kurt Hessenberg.
His compositions include five symphonies, concertos for violin and for organ, six string quartets, numerous solos and duos for strings and winds with and without piano of which several have been recorded. Raphael also composed organ, piano and choral works. He was also responsible for arranging a performance version of Antonín Dvořák's Cello Concerto in A major (1865) when its piano and cello score was discovered in 1918.He was also an editor of classical and baroque scores for Breitkopf and Härtel, preparing editions of, for example, flute sonatas by Frederick the Great and works by Vivaldi and Johann Sebastian Bach (some of these can be found in the Cornell University Library).

Walter Gronostay (1906–1937) was a German composer noted for his work on film scores. Gronostay studied under Arnold Schoenberg. From the late 1920s he began working on film music for a mixture of feature films and documentaries. Along with Herbert Windt he composed the music for Leni Riefenstahl's 1938 documentary Olympia, but died unexpectedly at the age of 31 before the film was released.

Carlos Roberto Cavalcanti de Albuquerque (born 1953), known as Robertinho do Recife, is a Brazilian guitarist, record producer, composer born in the city of Recife, Brazil. His first contact with the guitar was at the age of 10. After he was run over by a car, he had to stay long periods of time at home and had to watch a lot of TV. In one of these TV programs he met the Beatles and fell in love with the guitar. He got his first guitar as a gift from his grandfather. At the age of 12 he was already playing with bands in Recife. He had very good technique and later was invited to play with bands like: Watch Pocket, Chicago and Quiet Riot. He played a little of everything: from music for children, to heavy metal and neoclassical. At the end of the 1980s he played with the Brazilian band Yahoo, when they played a cover of "Love Bites", a song from the British band Def Leppard. He is currently working as a music producer in his own studio in Rio de Janeiro.Since the 1970s he has worked with artists like Geraldo Azevedo, Zé Ramalho and Raimundo Fagner.

Lenine, artist name of Osvaldo Lenine Macedo Pimentel (born 2 February 1959), is a Brazilian singer-songwriter from Recife, Pernambuco. Between the years of 2002 and 2018, he has earned a total of seven Latin Grammy Awards, (including the 2005 awards for "Best Brazilian Contemporary Album" and "Best Brazilian Song").

Walter Andreas Dullo (26 November 1902 – 22 August 1978) was a German musicologist and lawyer who migrated to Australia, where he became best known as a chocolate maker. He also continued his musical activities there, and was a co-founder of both Musica Viva Australia (with Richard Goldner) and FM radio station 2MBS.

Herbert Ludwig Sandberg (26 February 1902 – 7 January 1966) was a Swedish conductor, librettist, and composer of Polish Jewish descent.

Howard Robert Hammer (March 3, 1930 – December 26, 2021) was an American jazz pianist, composer and arranger.
